Kenneth Accardi

Bojan Amovic

At its core, Mr. Amovic's professional background is focused on intersection of innovation, quantitative analysis and operations management. More specifically, it includes a bifurcated approach of almost entirely contrasting aspects of disruptive innovation roles on one hand, and a highly structured and rigid operations management challenges of the same process on the other. Mr. Amovic's diverse background consists of tactical, engineering roles followed by a progressive transition into senior leadership handling strategic challenges of product management or engineering program management in electronic consumables, medical, defense, and telecommunications industries.
A natural interplay of innovation management and strategic consideration related to intellectual property led Mr. Amovic to the pursuit of legal education. It is during his law school career that Mr. Amovic developed a captivating research interest in introduction and implementation of quantitative methods, predictive simulation modeling and decision making in legal, regulatory, or intellectual property management.
Mr. Amovic has also lectured at the Southern New Hampshire University graduate on-campus program, and Boston College undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition to university teaching, Mr. Amovic has an extensive experience of teaching quantitative methods, applied technologies and change management courses and seminars within industry as well.


Thomas Davenport

Davenport pioneered the concept of “competing on analytics” with his best-selling 2006 Harvard Business Review article and 2007 book. His most recent book is The AI Advantage: How to Put the Artificial Intelligence Revolution to Work. He wrote or edited nineteen other books and over 200 articles for Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, The Financial Times, and many other publications. He is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal and Forbes. He has been named one of the top 25 consultants by Consulting News, one of the 100 most influential people in the IT industry by Ziff-Davis, and one of the world's top fifty business school professors by Fortune magazine.
Kathleen Dean

Kathy brings over 30 years of industry experience to the classroom, with the majority of her career focused on the delivery of innovative technology services and products in the financial services and benefits arena. Beginning her career as a software developer, Kathy continually progressed to the executive level, where she led several large global product development organizations.
In her most recent corporate assignment, Kathy led the development of the health care platforms for Fidelity Investments, including the formation of an agile development organization within the long-standing, mature benefits business of Fidelity. This role required deep business acumen, experience with a wide array of technologies, and the ability to form and gel global, high-performing teams. Kathy was instrumental in conceptualizing, championing, and leading the build of this open-source, cloud-native health administration platform. Throughout her career, Kathy has been consistently recognized for exceptional delivery in engineering, software development and high-quality product capabilities.
While leading the execution of this multi-million dollar technology delivery portfolio, Kathy was also chartered with setting the strategic direction of new product offerings, driving the modernization of existing technical ecosystem in alignment with the firm's priorities, and evaluating opportunities for innovation.
Kathy is also an active proponent of diversity in technology programs, mentoring and advocating for diversity of staffing and advancement in technology organizations.
As a global real estate advisor for Gibson Sotheby's International Realty, Kathy also help clients buy and sell real estate, specializing on Cape Cod real estate. In the spring, Kathy will also be an assistant coach for women's lacrosse at Nauset High School in Eastham, MA.

Kenneth Demma

Ken teaches MBA and Blended Learning students Consumer Behavior, Strategic Marketing Planning, Marketing Analytics and Strategic Customer Management (a course which he also conceived and developed). He brings his extensive analytics experience to bear in Analytic Managers and Organizations and Competing on Analytics courses. He has served as advisor on 4 JMCFE projects, leading students in Marketing and Sales strategies for clients in Italy and Switzerland; proudly working with teams that have had a big impact for their clients.
Beyond his teaching, Ken has developed courses for Babson Global and other institutions and businesses, and was co-sponsor of an analytic program for high school senior in Boston. He has authored numerous articles including: Determining Dimensions--Marketing Investments Often Bear No Relation to Results, The New Learning Curve--Advanced Knowledge Helps Companies' Success in Hyper Competitive Markets, and contributed to several books, including High Performance Marketing and Analytics at Work. He often speaks and writes on the topics where there is a confluence of marketing art and analytic strategy, and has been a contributor to recent research on Marketing Mix Optimization (Forrester Research), Big Data Analytics in Marketing (IDC) and Big Data Morality (MIT CDOIQ). His work in analytic innovation has been recognized through receiving a Genius Award at the ANA.
Ken holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, a BA in Economics from New York University, a certificate in Leadership in Professional Services Firms from Harvard Business School and a certificate in Direct Marketing from NYU. He has been on the faculty of the International Institute for Analytics, a Jury Member for I-COM, and has been an active member of various professional associations, and is an advisor to numerous small businesses.

Sinan Erzurumlu

Professor Erzurumlu concentrates his work on helping startups and large organizations to evaluate the challenges and opportunities of incorporating sustainability into business models. He studies how business leaders could recognize the role of entrepreneurial activities in competing on social and environmental impact and scaling up with sustainable business model innovations. His research has been published in leading journals including Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Production and Operations Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Resources Policy, Decision Sciences Journal of Education, and Omega.
Professor Erzurumlu develops and delivers courses on environmental and social sustainability, innovation management, design and systems thinking, and operations management. At Babson he co-founded FutureLab on Mobility, a design-led innovation lab on complex problem solving for social impact. He designed and delivered an experiential FutureLab course that focuses on how students can learn and apply innovation and human-centered design principles to complex social problems for the industry and government partners. He also works with and consults for industrial clients and partners in manufacturing, healthcare and high tech.
Prior to joining Babson, Sinan has worked as a project-based consultant for Dell on service operations and as a research engineer for Center for Space Research at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned an M.S. in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering from Department of Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Systems from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with distinction from Bogazici University, Turkey.

Sebastian Fixson

Dr. Fixson concentrates his work on helping people and organizations build innovation capabilities. In his research, he investigates how factors such as structure and governance of innovation processes, practices like design thinking, and the use of digital design tools affect the nature and outcome of innovation work.
Dr. Fixson teaches innovation, design, and operations management related courses and executive education programs at Babson College, USA, and Universities and Companies around the World. In addition to his teaching, Dr. Fixson has innovated on new ways of teaching innovation, including programs, spaces, and simulations. From 2014-2017, he served as the founding Faculty Director of Babson's Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership (MSEL) program. He also works with industrial clients and partners in industries ranging from health care, to manufacturing, and to software.
Dr. Fixson's writes for both academic and practitioner audiences, and his work has appeared in books and journals such as Concurrent Engineering, Creativity and Innovation Management, Design Management Review, European Management Review, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Informs Transactions on Education, International Journal of Automotive Technology and Management, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, MIT Sloan Management Review, Research Policy, Research-Technology Management, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, as well as online outlets such as Harvard Business Review online. His latest book “The Innovation Navigator,” co-authored with Tucker Marion, provides guidance for executives on how to structure and organize innovation processes (published by University of Toronto Press in November 2018).
Dr. Fixson holds a Diplom-Ingenieur (MSc) degree in mechanical engineering from Technical University Karlsruhe, Germany, and a PhD in Technology, Management, and Policy from MIT.

Ruth Gilleran

While at Babson, Ms. Gilleran has been recognized for her contributions to innovative teaching and curriculum development. In 2012,she was awarded the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence in any program. In addition, she was named as Chair of the Babson Teaching Innovation Fund committee. The committee's mission is to encourage and facilitate the development and publication of new and innovative world class teaching materials by the Babson faculty.
Since joining Babson in 2001, Ms. Gilleran has shown tremendous versatility by teaching in the college's Undergraduate, One Year MBA, Fast Track MBA, Masters of Accounting, and Executive Education programs. Currently, Ms. Gilleran teaches courses in information management studies, general business and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Babson College, she taught accounting courses at Northeastern University and conducted several IT training sessions for middle and senior-level managers.
Within the area of Information Technology Management, Ms. Gilleran's areas of expertise are Social Business, Business Intelligence, Software Project Management, and Systems Design and Implementation. Most recently, she has been involved in delivering virtual seminars on business intelligence, end-to-end computing, social business, and systems for entrepreneurs.

As Founding Faculty Director of the KMH Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Babson, Professor Glover developed the Center's strategy and core programs including the Global Health Innovation Lab. She currently leads three research teams within the Center. Professor Glover received recognition as one of Poet & Quants Top 50 Undergraduate Professors in 2020, the Changemaker Award from the Institute of Social Innovation at Babson in 2018, and has won several best paper awards. She also serves on the Research Committee for the Healthcare Management Division at the Academy of Management and is a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), a non-profit association for minority healthcare professionals.
Professor Glover completed her postdoctoral studies at the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), PhD and M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech, B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech, and B.A. in Mathematics at Albany State University (GA). Prior to her academic career, she worked as a consultant with Stockamp and Associates, implementing revenue cycle and process improvements in hospital settings. She is also Co-Founder and COO of Match Medical Practice Solutions, a healthcare revenue cycle management firm.

Dr. Guinan has received three awards for teaching excellence. Two were from Boston University where she taught prior to joining Babson's faculty. More recently she received the Dean's Award from Babson Executive Education.

Ruben Mancha

Ruben Mancha is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Operations and Information Management Division and faculty director of the Digital Transformation Initiative. In 2017, he was a recipient of the Best 40-Under-40 Business School Professors award by Poets and Quants.
Dr. Mancha's research is in the areas of digital transformation and business responsibility. His research has been published in journals such as Decision Support Systems, Journal of Business Strategy, Information Technology & People, Social Responsibility Journal, Michigan Technology Law Review, Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy, and Journal of Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance, and Management. He has also contributed essays to a number of edited books, such as Contemporary Perspectives in Data Mining II and Encyclopedia of Research Design.
He teaches information technology courses at F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business and executive education courses on digital transformation. He also advises digital startups and companies undergoing a digital transformation.
Before completing his doctoral studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr. Mancha held consulting and research positions in the food and biotechnology industries in Spain and the U.S.

In addition to his work as Director of Academic Technologies, Eric is an adjunct instructor at Babson College, where he teaches web and user interface design along with communication and collaboration courses specializing in virtual technologies. Before joining Babson College, he worked for a number of consulting and design firms, including Nextera Enterprises. Eric also co-founded the design firm Drive Thru Designs.
Eric holds a BA in advertising and graphic design from Loyola University in Maryland. He is also a graduate of Babson College where he earned an MBA in the Spring of 2009. His postgraduate studies also include media theory at Emerson College.

As a former financial services industry spokesperson, David has performed extensive lobbying efforts at both the local and national levels. This included visits with Representatives of US Congress, Massachusetts and Connecticut Divisions of Banks, Massachusetts Legislature, and Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.
David is the Director Program Operations for Babson's Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship, helping to oversee and direct program delivery and the daily operations of the Institute. He also serves as Chair of the Operations & Information Management Advisory Board for the Isenberg School of Management - UMass Amherst and has taught "Operations Management" and "Project Management" to undergraduate and graduate students at UMass Amherst and Northeastern University.

James Savarese

Victor Seidel

Victor Seidel researches topics in technology and innovation management, with an emphasis on the evolving nature of the design process. He focuses on how managers, from those running start-ups to those in large R&D organizations, can best navigate from initial concept to final innovation. Increasingly, his work investigates how design teams use online communities as sources of continuous innovation.
He completed his undergraduate engineering degree at Cornell, an MBA at Cambridge and Ph.D. at Stanford. Prior to academia, he spent ten years with IBM Microelectronics where he developed several patented semiconductor device innovations, managed the business planning department for a billion-dollar division within IBM, and expanded the product marketing organization in Europe.
A dual British-American citizen, he was a founding academic director of the entrepreneurship and innovation center at Oxford's Said Business School, where he continues to serve as a visiting scholar. In addition to his position at Babson, he is a TECH Innovation Associate of the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His areas of teaching include Technology and Innovation Management and Product Design and Development.

Donna Stoddard

Dr. Stoddard has explored how small and large companies leverage enterprise systems to improve communication and collaboration. She completed a study which documented the "State of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) in Massachusetts". In addition, she is conducting research related to digital government, electronic commerce, managing the IT infrastructure and IT business innovation. Dr. Stoddard has written a number of cases and articles on reengineering and the impact of information technology on the structure and strategy of the firm. Dr. Stoddard's articles have been published in such journals as Harvard Business Review, California Management Review, MIS Quarterly and Journal of MIS.
Before entering the doctoral program at the Harvard Business School, Dr. Stoddard spent several years in various marketing positions at IBM where she worked with large financial services and manufacturing companies, and she was on the audit staff at KPMG Peat Marwick Mitchell. Dr. Stoddard has served as a keynote speaker at management and senior executive conferences sponsored by KPMG Peat Marwick, Ernst & Young, The Travelers, MIT, Boston University, State Street Boston Corporation, Johnson and Johnson, and SIEMENS Rolm Communications.
Dr. Stoddard is currently on the Board of Directors for The Metro Group and previously served on the Technology Advisory Board for Benchmark Senior Living. She has extensive experience on non-profit boards. She served on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for Carroll School, Noble and Greenough School and The Meadowbrook School of Weston. She also served on the Board of Boys and Girls Club of Boston.
