Faith and Service
Working Toward Social Justice
The mission of Babson’s Office of Faith and Service is to inspire students to become entrepreneurial leaders with a global mindset who practice respect and empathy while seeking purpose through faith and service. Our vision is to create a conscious, connected community that pursues social justice.
History of Faith and Service at Babson
The college’s founder, Roger Babson, believed in creating a radically different approach to business education. His vision was of “practical idealism,” an educational environment that blended real with ideal to produce better businessmen and women, and better human beings. He wanted students to feel inspired to “live and help live” by dedicating their lives to the ideal of service to others. Today, the Office of Faith and Service exists to continue to live on Babson’s legacy by providing programming that supports his vision through faith and service.
Today, the Glavin Family Chapel, built in 1997, is utilized in a variety of ways and supports a campus dedicated to religious pluralism. Learn more about the Chapel »
