Founder’s Day

Founder’s Day, which dates to 1947, recognizes Roger W. Babson, founder and first president of Babson College, and honors his passion for entrepreneurship, education, and philanthropy.

This Founder’s Day, traditions, both new and old, will be celebrated via a combination of virtual and in-person events.

7:30–9:30 a.m. Cash Cab – Wellesley Campus
Put your Babson knowledge to the test and hitch a ride on the Cash Cab! The College Advancement Ambassadors will be providing rides to and from residence halls, classes, Trim and anywhere you may desire! If you correctly answer our philanthropic Babson trivia questions correctly you’ll win Babson bucks for a coffee, courtesy of the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team!
11 a.m.–2 p.m. Founder’s Day Apple-themed Lunch – Trim
Stop by our table in the Trim lobby to make your gift to Babson and receive a token of our appreciation!
3–5 p.m. Founder’s Fest – Undergraduate Event, Park Manor Quad (rain location: The Babson Recreation and Athletics Complex)
Celebrate our founder, Roger Babson, and the generosity of our donors outdoors by enjoying music, fun lawn and carnival games, henna and tattoo art, cool giveaways, and a variety of delicious apple treats!
4:30–6:30 p.m. Founder’s Fest – Graduate Event, Knight Lawn (rain location: Knight Auditorium)
We will celebrate being back at Babson with new and old friends! Join us for a traditional southern style barbeque, fun prizes, and cool giveaways. And as always, we will have a variety of delicious apple treats in honor of Roger Babson and his admiration for Sir Isaac Newton.
8:30 p.m. Beaver Bowl Trivia – Park Manor West Innovation Center
An opportunity for the entire Babson Community—Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni—to compete for exciting prizes while testing their knowledge of Babson trivia and more!
