Alvaro Boitier is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Babson College. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Master Degree in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and Bachelor's Degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
His research interests lie in the intersection of international finance, macroeconomics and trade. His research projects study the aggregate implications of corporate hedging in the transmission of international shocks. Alvaro has extensive experience in teaching and working in the private and public sectors. He taught classes in macroeconomics at UCLA and UTDT and held positions at Accenture and the European Central Bank.
