Bio

For the past thirty years, Professor Rice has participated in the development of university-based entrepreneurship ecosystems. At RPI (1988-2001) he served as Director of the Rensselaer Incuba-tor Program and the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship. At Babson College (2001-2010), as Murata Dean of the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business he led the effort to launch the Fast Track MBA Program, a major leap forward in the effectiveness of blended learning education delivery. He was also part of the Babson team that delivered training programs for entrepreneurship educators and program managers in Asia, South America and North America. At WPI (2010-2018), Professor Rice served as the inaugural Dean of the Foisie School of Business and subsequently as the Vice Provost for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. In March 2018, he returned to Babson College as Acting Provost. Professor Rice holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
