How to Apply in One Week

Monday

Request your transcripts from your undergraduate institution OR find your unofficial transcripts.

Tuesday

Reach out to your recommender(s) and ask them if they would be willing to complete a recommendation. Recommenders are welcome to either upload a letter or fill out our 10-minute survey.

Wednesday

Fill out the free online application and begin working on the essay question. There is only one required essay, 450-word maximum.

Thursday

Update your professional résumé.

Friday

Finalize your essay and submit required test scores. Finally, go ahead and submit your application!

Prepare Your Application

All graduate school applicants are responsible for providing the following program-specific application materials:

  • Essay
  • 2 letters of professional recommendation (non-academic)
  • Résumé
  • GMAT or GRE score reports
  • Transcripts from all institutions, undergraduate and graduate
  • Candidates may include an essay to provide additional pertinent information to the admissions committee (optional).

Two-Year candidates only: To be considered for the Hamilton Entrepreneurial Scholarships or the Price Fellowship for Entrepreneurship, please submit the appropriate scholarship essay. Visit the Full-Time MBA Merit Awards page for more information.

Blended Learning MBA Applicants
GMAT or GRE scores are not required for most Blended Learning program applicants. The admissions committee may determine that a GMAT or GRE score is needed if its review of your application material reveals specific areas of concern or question.

Evening MBA Applicants
The GMAT and GRE may be waived for Evening MBA applicants if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with grades of B or better in two or more quantitative undergraduate and/or graduate courses
  2. Earned a graduate degree from an accredited program
  3. Acquired quantitative or analytic skills through professional responsibilities
  4. Passed all or part of a professional certification with a quantitative focus (CFA, CPA, CFP, FINRA, Six Sigma, SOA Exams, and FRM)
  5. Have a minimum of three years of meaningful work experience, with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better
  6. Earned a prior degree from Babson College
  7. Completed Babson’s Certificate in Advanced Management (CAM). Students who complete the CAM program also may be eligible to apply CAM credits toward your Babson MBA degree in the future. Contact Graduate Admissions for more information.

  • The GMAT or GRE may be waived for applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or better and meet one or more of the following criteria:
    • Have achieved a grade of B or better in two or more quantitative undergraduate and/or graduate courses
    • Have submitted a valid SAT or ACT score
    • Have acquired demonstrable analytical skills through professional certification with a quantitative focus (CFA/CPA/Six Sigma, etc.)

  • 1 letter of academic recommendation from a former or current finance professor

  • Transcripts from all institutions, undergraduate and graduate
  • Video interview
  • Applicants may submit SAT or ACT scores from within the last seven years in lieu of the GMAT or GRE. All applicants must submit GMAT, GRE, SAT, or ACT scores.

The following items are required for CAM graduates or current CAM students applying for MBA, MSF, or MSBA programs:

  • Test scores are not required if you completed the CAM program within the last three years.

If you are a recent graduate or current student of a Babson graduate degree program (other than CAM), please contact the Graduate Admissions office to discuss requirements for applying to additional programs.

All alumni with a bachelor’s or a master’s degree from Babson are eligible for the Second-Century Alumni Grant when admitted into a graduate degree program or an open enrollment executive education program.
