Matthew Boyd

Mentor, Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship

Matthew BoydMatthew is the Chief Commercial Officer of Boyd Technologies, and is a member of the Board of Directors. He is the Producer of the documentary film Project Frontline, and co-host of the video series Biomedical Design Stories. Matthew joined Boyd Technologies in 2007 as the Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Boyd Technologies, Matthew worked in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at Citigroup Global Markets. Matthew serves on the steering committee, and as a mentor, for the MassMedic Ignite Program. Matthew is actively involved as an Alumni of Babson College’s Graduate School of Business where he serves as a mentor for the Institute for Family Entrepreneurship. Matthew received a BA in Economics from the University of Vermont and his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.

He has experiences in the foilowing ventures:

  • Family business transition (1st to 2nd Gen.)
  • Business turnaround (from 2008 financial crisis)
  • Business transition from diversified industrial into medical device/life science
  • Building a growth culture (market, people services)
