Our students see results because at Babson, we aren’t just a business school. We teach our students to be entrepreneurial leaders, with a mindset that emphasizes learning and experimentation. Babson students don’t just start businesses, either. You will find our alums in a number of places: project managing for tech startups, teaching around the world, starting nonprofits, and as a VP in the NBA.
The undergraduate career development we offer is designed to make sure you have the skills and motivation to lead, grow, and thrive in whatever industry you choose.
The answer is through a hands-on approach to learning because we believe experience is the best teacher. Experiential learning is embedded into our curriculum, which mixes business classes with the liberal arts and sciences. From your first year until your final class, you’ll be taking on projects that make real impacts on businesses and communities.
That idea you’ve had forever? It finally has a home in Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME). Our first-year students work in groups and with faculty members to launch a real business. Our signature class, FME will teach you all aspects of how a business runs.
We make sure our students are prepared to tackle the issues of tomorrow, today. A big part of that is learning how people and nature work together and why that matters. From sustainability to urban planning, Socio-Ecological Systems courses will change the way you think about the world.
Opportunities like Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE) in your third year and the capstone Scaling Lean Ventures, where you’ll be given a real business problem for you to solve, and let you gain practical industry experience while working with actual companies. You’ll feel like an accomplished professional, ready to tackle anything, by the time we hand you your diploma.
The Hoffman Family Undergraduate Center for Career Development (CCD) at Babson empowers every student from day one to develop pathways to professional success and lifelong learning. And, the goal of our career development services is to make sure you shine.
