Embark on Your Professional Adventure

The possible careers for undergraduates at Babson are endless. And, the Undergraduate Center for Career Development (CCD) is here to help you transition from Babson to your next great opportunity, giving you the resources to explore all of your postgrad options, whether that’s entering the workforce at startups, non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies, continuing your education, launching an entrepreneurial venture, or bearing the torch for the next generation of your family business.

The Undergraduate Career Choice Is Yours

Your choices of undergraduate careers are infinite, but there is one guarantee: you will emerge from Babson with the entrepreneurial leadership skills that allow you to create a positive impact in any role, organization, or community from day one. With guidance from CCD’s experienced advisors, career fairs and events, and assistance in interview and resume preparation, you’ll be ready to dive into a career you feel passionate about.

A Campus Full of Connections

The best part of the Babson experience is the people—your professors, your advisors, your classmates, your peers, and our robust alumni network. As you partner with people across campus on projects and in class, you will gain professional insights and grow connections. Those touchpoints can help you find career paths you want to take as well as provide avenues for you to pursue them. Our faculty especially have expertise and networks that are beneficial to our students.

You also can participate in events, research, and networking with one of our nine Centers and Institutes. They provide a chance for you to dive deeper into a specific community or area of interest, such as supply chain management, family businesses, investing, and social innovation, and to meet mentors. Plus, we’re neighborly partners with Wellesley College and F.W. Olin College of Engineering and a stone’s throw from Boston, so you’re never lacking for inspiration.

The leadership skills I learned as a CWEL (Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership) Scholar and the connections I made as a WIN Lab founder have been vital components to the scalability of my business.

That number isn’t a typo.

The hands-on approach of our curriculum, which begins your first year with Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME), and our unmatched career resources allow you to try out a bunch of things, so our students are invaluable to the workforce. You will have done so much, tried so many different entrepreneurial venues, and met so many people that you’ll be ready to tackle, well, anything.

You see the rewards of that hard work immediately. The average starting salary for Babson’s undergraduate Class of 2021 is $62,525, which is the highest in our history. This starting salary is also 6% higher than the projected starting salaries for business majors overall.

Our graduates are proof there are no undergraduate career opportunities that are off limits when you pursue a degree from us. Where you choose to go after Babson is up to you.

8% are continuing their education

True entrepreneurial leaders never stop learning and growing, and many of our graduates want to continue doing that in a higher-education setting. Some of them stay on campus and get their MBA at Babson. Studying real estate, law, public health, marketing, and communications are all on the agenda for our graduates.

6% are starting their own business

Our students have myriad interests, and there’s no place this manifests more than in a list of businesses started by Babson alums. With these ventures, our young alumni are finding ways to improve the immigrant experience, changing up the coffee industry, and marketing virtual-reality tech that gets the attention of the Air Force.

3% are returning to a family business

The Babson network can sometimes feel like one big family. That’s because, sometimes, they are! If you want to hone your skills before joining your family business, there’s no better place to be than here. Our mindset and curriculum is designed to train the new generation of entrepreneurs and prepare them for whatever challenge they have lined up next.

Our alumni know firsthand just how valuable a Babson education and mindset are to the world.

Babson grads definitely have a pay-it-forward mentality. I was one of those students who spoke to so many grads while I was getting interested in, then recruiting for a job in consulting. Now, I talk to students who reach out to me because I remember the value those conversations held for me just a few years ago.
