Participants earn 10 credits that can roll into the Babson Part-Time MBA Program.*

Students will select five courses from the MBA Core catalog to earn their Corporate Certificate in Core Leadership Essentials.
These courses are:
- ACC7800: Financial Sustainability & Reporting
- EPS7800: Entrepreneurship
- FIN7800: Finance
- MKT7800: Marketing
- MOB7800: Managing People & Organizations
- OIM7800: Operations & Information Management
- QTM7800: Business Analytics
- STR7800: Strategy (Requires Approval)
- Upon completion of this program, colleagues will earn a graduate credential (Corporate Certificate in Core Leadership Essentials), and will have completed 10 MBA core credits. Colleagues will also become Babson alumni and join our worldwide alumni network of more than 46,000.
- For those interested in an MBA, credits will roll into the Babson-Pfizer MBA Program with a 3.0 gpa or higher.
- Convenient 7-week semesters and several breaks are built into the program to ensure minimal interruptions to work and life.

The following courses are available for students who enroll in the Corporate Certificate in Core Leadership Essentials:
- ACC7800: Financial Sustainability & Reporting - This course explores financial and ESG reporting, emphasizing how these tools inform entrepreneurial decision-making. You’ll learn to construct and analyze financial statements across industries and link them to strategic choices. The course also examines how ESG factors integrate with financial reports to assess risk and long-term business sustainability.
- EPS7800: Entrepreneurship - You’ll dive into creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship to understand how they shape future opportunities. The course builds your ET&A toolkit for evaluating ideas, marshalling resources, and forming effective teams. It’s a hands-on journey through early-stage entrepreneurial activity, focusing on value creation and appropriation.
- FIN7800: Finance - This course introduces core financial principles, including time value of money, security valuation, and forecasting. You’ll learn to analyze risk and return, evaluate investment proposals, and estimate enterprise value for IPOs and acquisitions including the financial modeling in Excel central to applying these concepts.
- MKT7800: Marketing - The course begins with a big-picture view of modern marketing, then dives into the 4 Ps—product, place, price, and promotion. You’ll learn how to design and implement marketing strategies while assessing their performance while learning how ET&A principles underpin the entire approach to marketing decision-making.
- MOB7800: Managing People & Organizations - This course focuses on developing leadership and self-awareness to act as an entrepreneurial leader. You’ll practice skills like motivating diverse teams, influencing, negotiating, and aligning organizations for innovation. Reflection and feedback opportunities help you grow as a leader while building strong networks.
- OIM7800: Operations & Information Management - You’ll learn how operations and information systems drive strategy and deliver value. The course covers process design, resource configuration, and leveraging technology and data for performance improvement. Emphasis is placed on sustainable models that consider environmental and social impact.
- QTM7800: Business Analytics - This course teaches how to use data and analytical tools to make strategic decisions that create and capture value. You’ll build models of business processes, apply predictive analytics, and perform sensitivity analyses to identify key drivers of decisions. Emphasis is placed on communicating insights effectively to guide managerial action.
- STR7800: Strategy (Requires Approval) - This integrative course focuses on strategic and competitive analysis to enable entrepreneurial action. You’ll learn to identify critical strategic issues, position your business for competitive advantage, and develop capabilities for growth and adaptation. Students will demonstrate their ability to analyze and write coherently about strategic options and developments.
Start your Corporate Certificate in Core Leadership Essentials with any of our Spring offerings: Entrepreneurship in Wellesley, Financial and Sustainability Reporting in Boston, or Managing People and Organizations online. From there, you’re free to complete the remaining requirements at your own pace, selecting the courses and learning formats that work best for you.
The first 10 students to apply and deposit for this program will receive a scholarship of $3,280 completely covering the first course's tuition*.
