Welcome to the Babson community. Our goal is to see you thrive. As you prepare for your first semester, we invite you to participate in a specialized math mini-course. Our unique program is designed to position you to be successful in your first year at Babson.

Why Participate

  • Catch up or get ahead. This summer course is one of the first steps you can take on a path to ensuring your success at Babson. 
  • Early arrival on campus. Following the conclusion of the on-line program, participating students have the opportunity to move-in early and join fellow participants in a pre-orientation program on campus.
  • Early laptop delivery. Participating students who need a laptop will receive their Babson issued laptops in advance of program. 
  • Deeper connections. Get to know your cohort, faculty, student peers, and the Babson community before the semester starts. 
  • Free. There is no cost to participate in the program.

Program Details

  • Online program dates: Monday, July 27 - Thursday, August 13, 2026
  • On campus program dates: Friday, August 21 - Thursday, August 27, 2026
  • Times: detailed times will be presented at a later date
  • Format: Online through August 13, 2026. On campus early move-in/arrival August 21, 2026 (required). Days will alternate between synchronous and asynchronous learning. During this time, synchronous learning will be held 10 AM to 11:30 AM EST,  on Monday through Thursday. While most of the class sessions will be synchronous, there are a few pre-scheduled asynchronous sessions. Asynchronous sessions will mean that students are expected to watch prepared videos and complete assignments themselves during that day. 
  • Structure: Combination of lectures, small group work, and individual work with some synchronous and asynchronous work. Students will be expected to contribute 1.5 hours per day (Monday through Thursday) on class, and another 1 hour on reading and homework per day.

A unique opportunity for new Babson undergraduates to develop their quantitative skills prior to the Fall semester. Students will engage with two faculty members from the Math and Science division along with community members to help you prepare appropriately for the Babson educational experience. This program will be a combination of lectures, small group work and individual work all designed to position you to be successful in your first year at Babson.

Summer Bridge will focus on the basics of hypothesis testing and regression analysis. Students will work with live data sets that will require them to contribute to lectures from the professor’s, work in small groups and complete a capstone project.

The Math Bridge Program will be held online via Webex with a closing meeting in person before classes commence for the fall semester.

The online program will run July 27-August 13, 2026. Students will be expected to contribute 1.5 hours per day (Monday through Thursday) on class, and another 1 hour on reading and homework per day.

The on campus program will run August 21 - August 27, 2026.

Students participating in this program will be allowed an early arrival to campus.

Yes, the expectation is that you complete the entire Bridge Program as it is designed to help get you prepared for your first semester of college.

No, there is no charge to participate and all course materials will be open-source.

No, participation in both the math and writing summer programs is not possible, please select only one program.
