Babson Fellows Program for Entrepreneurship Educators
October 13–18, 2019
The Babson Fellows Program for Entrepreneurship Educators (The Fellows Program) is a unique and transformational opportunity for faculty to be immersed in the ecosystem of the #1 school for entrepreneurship, Babson College. Fellows are paired with a Babson faculty mentor who will guide them through this opportunity to experience Babson while developing a deeper understanding of the Babson entrepreneurship curriculum and surrounding ecosystem.
In this program, faculty will strengthen their pedagogy by experiencing “classroom” time with Babson faculty as well as “excursion time” in the entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus, Boston and beyond. In addition, fellows will make an impact at their university by working on an individual project to enhance their university’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The Fellows Program Experience
Faculty at any level who are interested in or currently teaching entrepreneurship or building an entrepreneurship ecosystem are encouraged to apply for this 5-day intensive program.
The week includes:
- Learning proven concepts for effectively teaching entrepreneurship from Babson faculty
- Sitting in on Babson classes to observe a variety of professors and student interactions
- Touring the innovation district in Boston
- Discussing research and/or teaching interests during individual meetings with Babson professors
- Attending on-campus entrepreneurship events
Prior to arrival, each fellow will submit a project related to an entrepreneurship edutcation critical initiative or new endeavor. Fellows will work to enhance that project while at Babson and present a final action or launch plan to other fellows and key Babson stakeholders on the last day of the program. Fellows are expected to leave the program with a clear vision for implementation after returning to their home institution.
The Application Process
This program is for faculty at any level from around the world who are interested in or currently teaching entrepreneurship or building an entrepreneurship ecosystem.
