The upcoming Tech Entrepreneur in Residence program, hosted by the Metropoulos Institute, will invite accomplished technology entrepreneurs to play a hands-on role in educating, mentoring, and co-creating with Babson’s next generation of tech leaders.

As the global leader in entrepreneurship education, Babson is expanding its technology focus across sectors. Tech Entrepreneurs in Residence will be key to that mission, bringing deep technical expertise, real-world experience, and entrepreneurial insight to innovation and venture creation across campus.

Who We’re Looking For

The Metropoulos Institute is seeking tech-forward entrepreneurs, innovators, and domain experts who are:

  • Experienced in startup, scale-up, or enterprise innovation.
  • Former CTOs, technical executives, or serial entrepreneurs.
  • Recognized thought leaders with a track record of industry impact.
  • Passionate about mentoring and giving back.
  • Excited to co-create new ventures with Babson students, faculty, or alumni.
  • Committed to shaping ethical, purpose-driven innovation.

A graduate degree in a tech or engineering field—or equivalent experience—is preferred. Babson alumni and those with existing ties to the Babson community are strongly encouraged to apply.

Tech Entrepreneurs in Residence also will help build a brain trust for industry partnerships, strengthen Babson’s tech literacy, and guide responsible innovation that addresses the world’s most pressing challenges.

Program Structure

The Tech Entrepreneurs in Residence will play a critical role in the Metropoulos Institute, assisting and supporting Babson entrepreneurs and providing valuable assistance to the institute’s mission and initiatives.

Term: One-year appointment, renewable
Time Commitment: About 1 day per week on campus (hybrid participation possible)

Tech Entrepreneurs in Residence will:

  • Mentor student entrepreneurs and startup teams.
  • Guest lecture and support academic programming.
  • Co-develop a venture with a Babson community member.
  • Serve as expert advisors for the Babson Tech 10 accelerator program and other Metropoulos Institute initiatives.
  • Support pitch competitions, clubs, consulting projects, and research.
  • Act as public ambassadors for Babson’s technology mission.
