Soccer
The goal of the Girls Soccer Camp is to improve the level of play of each camper in a fun and rewarding environment! We teach campers the fundamentals of soccer and develop individual skills while emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork. Our camp provides a balance of skills development, competitive games, and team building activities. We are staffed by top local prep school, club, and college coaches and players. A low-camper-to-counselor ratio ensures that our campers are getting one-on-one instruction and attention. Campers build self-confidence and maintain a positive attitude, and we ensure that every camper leaves with a better knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Camp activities include but are not limited to:
Drop-off: 8:30–8:45 a.m.
Pick-up: 3:30–3:45 p.m.

Stations involve instruction for skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and agilities. Goalkeeping instruction is also built in for this specialized position. Stations involve smaller group environment which provides for more personalized coaching. Players will learn in age- and skill-appropriate groups to ensure that everyone is learning something new and challenged appropriately.
Scrimmages emphasize team tactics, competitive attitude, fitness, teamwork, creativity, and fair play.
Our staff demonstrate their own skills and often invite our campers to participate alongside them.
Our staff organizes games that may or may not involve a soccer ball – it makes for a break while team building is a must!
In our Olympics event, our campers compete individually and/or in pairs in a variety of competitions. This activity tests their skills with a bit of pressure and makes for a thrilling afternoon.
Our week is capped off on Friday with a World Cup tournament. Playoffs begin during the morning session, with our championship games taking place in the afternoon. Team names and colors are coordinated earlier in the week to allow for an exciting atmosphere and comradery on Friday.
Campers must bring their shin guards, cleats, and sneakers for potential indoor play. Goalkeepers can bring gloves. A soccer ball will be provided.
Nellie Pineault, Camp Director

Nellie Pineault is in her 12th season as the head coach of the women’s soccer program with a career mark of 101-66-30. Since arriving at Babson in 1999, Pineault has served in a variety of roles, including coordinator of Student and Community Services and coordinator of Compliance and Special Events. Foremost among her duties has been the role of assistant soccer coach, which she held from 2004 to 2009. During that span, the team posted a stellar record of 60-38-19. In her first season at the helm of the soccer program, Pineault guided the Beavers to an 11-7-2 record, a second-place finish in the NEWMAC regular season standings, and their first trip to the conference tournament championship game since 2007. It was Babson’s best regular season finish since 1997 and only the second appearance in the title game since 1998. Pineault then led the team to a fantastic 11-5-2 campaign in 2011 as well as a nine-win season and a trip to the conference semifinals in 2012. Pineault also led the Green and White to 14 victories in 2015, its most since 2001 and a trip to the NCAA tournament.
