Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship
The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, merit-based scholarship. This award recognizes a student’s outstanding academic achievements and potential as an entrepreneurial leader. Students selected for this scholarship show a commitment to the core leadership principles espoused by Mr. Blank and the foundational values of the Blank School: put people first; listen and respond; include everyone; innovate continuously; lead by example; and give back to others.
At Babson, we view entrepreneurship as essential to the advancement of the human condition. We build entrepreneurial leaders with empathy, morality, compassion, and drive. As a Blank Leadership Scholar, students will learn to lead change, create scalable solutions to global problems, and generate sustainable value across business and society.
Selection for The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship is based on the following criteria:
- Academic excellence and intellectual passion
- Great distinction in leadership activities
- Strength of commitment to Mr. Blank’s six core values: Put People First, Listen and Respond, Include Everyone, Innovate Continuously, Lead by Example, and Give Back to Others.
- An entrepreneurial leadership mindset
These criteria are evaluated through the college application process and scholarship-specific essay requirements.
Required next steps:
- Apply for admission to Babson
- Write a 650-word essay or submit a 2-minute video answering the following: Arthur Blank's six core values, which guide his businesses and philanthropic efforts, are: Put People First, Listen and Respond, Include Everyone, Innovate Continuously, Lead by Example, and Give Back to Others. Through the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship, students will be asked to represent the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders who will lead the change necessary to solve the world’s most pressing problems. Describe a situation or achievement from your life when you embodied one or two of the Blank core values to affect change? Submit this essay or video through your applicant portal. We ask that you submit an essay OR a video, not both.
- If you choose to submit a video, please paste the link to your video on a video hosting site (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) to a document and upload that document to the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship essay selection in your applicant portal.
Scholarship Deadline:
- If applying Early Decision I or Early Action – scholarship essay is due December 1, 2025
- If applying Early Decision II or Regular Decision – scholarship essay is due February 1, 2026
