Rules

  • Only sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Babson College may enter.
  • The essay must be an analytical paper written for an intermediate or advanced level class at Babson College since the conclusion of the contest last year (April 26, 2025 through April 27, 2026). The essay must be individually written.
  • Case studies, lab reports, independent studies, portions of honors theses, fiction, personal essays, and poetry are all ineligible for entry.
  • You must contact the professor for whom the essay was written and notify them that you are entering your essay for consideration for the Wooten Prize.
  • Only one entry per student is permitted.

All winning entries will be subject to verification regarding the criteria above.

Requirements for Submission

Deadline: 12 p.m. (noon), March 27, 2026. No late entries will be accepted.

  • The essay must have a title.
  • Remove your name, course number, and any identifying information from the actual essay.
  • Submit ONE copy of the essay, typed and double-spaced, Times New Roman font, size 12.
