The Advisory Board of the C. Dean Metropoulos Institute for Technology and Entrepreneurship plays a critical role in shaping our strategic direction, innovation priorities, and global reach.

Comprised of influential leaders across the industrial tech ecosystem, the board brings deep sector expertise and real-world insight to the Metropoulos Institute’s mission of empowering Babson students, faculty, and alumni to lead responsibly at the intersection of emerging technology and entrepreneurship.

Seeking Visionaries and Builders

The Metropoulos Institute is actively recruiting new Advisory Board members who bring bold thinking and a global perspective to our work. Advisory Board members contribute their insight, networks, and philanthropic support to ensure the Metropoulos Institute serves as a global model for purpose-driven, tech-powered entrepreneurship.

We welcome accomplished professionals who have:

  • Demonstrated leadership in industrial technology sectors.
  • Significant experience in entrepreneurship, innovation scaling, or research commercialization.
  • Strong commitment to AI integration and data-driven decision-making approaches.
  • Strategic vision for human-AI collaboration and its societal implications.
  • Willingness to engage with Babson’s entrepreneurial leadership tradition.

Board Member Commitments

Advisory Board members play a critical role in the success of the Metropoulos Institute and will be expected to:

  • Participate in quarterly meetings (3–4 hours each with virtual accommodation for two meetings).
  • Attend an annual strategic retreat at Babson’s Wellesley campus.
  • Engage in subcommittees aligned with your area of expertise.
  • Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to startups and student founders.
  • Help shape the Metropoulos Institute’s technological literacy initiatives and startup programming.
  • Serve as a thought partner to faculty, staff, and leadership.

Commitment: 30-40 hours with flexibility for virtual participation + annual philanthropic commitment
