Babson students are always looking for ways to learn more about an industry, organization, or career path. The Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE) offers students the opportunity to gain practical industry experience while working with professionals in the business community.

The MCFE program connects Boston-area organizations with talented Babson students who work as consultants to address a current business challenge. Students gain valuable experience while providing your organization with creativity, insights, and results.

Get Involved with Babson

Since 1976, Babson students have worked with local organizations to provide solutions for a wide range of business challenges. This unique program gives students first-hand experience—which will put them steps ahead in the competitive business world—while your company benefits from the skills and expertise of our top talent.

Babson students will engage with you and other members of your organization to share the details and goals of the project. The student team will spend a semester analyzing your business from the inside out, and collaborate to resolve a specific business problem. At the project’s conclusion, the MCFE team’s findings and recommendations will be presented to your company in a detailed, written report and in an oral presentation.

Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® at Work

Babson’s unique curriculum prepares students to succeed in today’s complex, global business environment. Our students have developed skills in leadership, critical thinking, quantitative analysis, social responsibility, and rhetoric through their academic and cocurricular activities. They are well prepared to bring an innovative, fresh perspective to your organization. Through your participation in MCFE, you will help students gain valuable, practical work experience. They will learn how to interact professionally with a client, gain industry knowledge from the inside out, and work in a team environment to yield the best results for your company.
