Education Abroad Roadmap
The Education Abroad Roadmap is designed to guide you through the process of researching programs to help you identify the program of best fit. Our goal is to ensure that you have a successful term abroad, academically and personally.

As you begin to research education abroad programs and confirm that you are eligible with your GPA and class standing, we encourage you to consider various methods and sources of information. You may choose to complete as many of the following as you would like:
- Visit education abroad brochures and website content
- Review information about academic planning, financial planning and education abroad policies
- Attend an info session (highly recommended)
- Talk to an Education Abroad Peer Advisor or returnee
- Make an appointment with an education abroad advisor
- Email an education abroad advisor
- Contact program-specific staff/advisor

Once you have identified a program that best fits your goals and interests, you can open an application. Follow each step below to apply for education abroad.
- Open your Education Abroad Application
- Submit the Babson application by either the priority or the final deadline
- Note that some programs are only available for application by the priority deadline
- Open and submit your external program application

After you have submitted your application, you will:
- Receive your decision from Babson
- Receive your decision from the external program
- Commit to education abroad

Preparation for your term abroad includes:
- Completing pre-departure online content and attending a session
- Preparing your travel documents (apply for a visa, if applicable)
- Planning academically
- Planning financially

During your term abroad, the Babson Education Abroad team and the Babson community are here to support you. While abroad you will:
- Have access to resources at Babson
- Reflect and share your experience
- Experience new academic content

Upon completion of your term abroad, you will have the opportunity to “unpack” your experience and consider how you will carry it forward, personally and professionally. You may:
- Become an Education Abroad Peer Advisor
- Submit your contact information to the Education Abroad Alumni Database
- Contact CCD about how to leverage your experience with employers
- Enter the Education Abroad Photo Content
- Engage internationally in other ways

- For quick general questions, you may join Webex Drop-in advising hour to connect with an on-duty Ed Abroad advisor.
