Adjusting to college life isn’t easy. It’s perfectly normal to experience academic, personal, or professional challenges or simply to seek greater connection and support. The Department of Student Advising & Success helps you recognize and understand the interrelation of your academic, personal, and professional successes, and connect you to a network of student support and services to help you along your way. Student Success Advisors are here to help empower you to reach your goals and get the most out of your Babson experience. And most of all, we are here to cheer you on.

We recognize the unique challenges that come with adjusting to college life abroad. Babson’s International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) office is a central resource for our large and thriving international student community. We are here to guide and support you as you settle into college life in the United States, and are prepared to help you with everything from navigating F & J immigration regulations, to contextualizing U.S. academic, social, and cultural norms. The ISSS also contributes to building an inclusive campus environment, and facilitates intercultural learning across campus.

Horn Library, renovated extensively in 2019, functions as an academic and social hub of campus activity. Academically, it offers you access to hundreds of research databases and thousands of print and e-books. You also have access to spaces such as group study rooms, technology-enhanced classrooms, and state-of-the-art facilities at the Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance. Socially, it offers some of the best spots on campus to connect with your peers, including Babson Commons and Centennial Café.

The Math Resource Center (MRC) is staffed by highly qualified students and faculty who provide the support you need to conquer challenging math material. Take advantage of our frequently used walk-in hours for help with your homework or exam preparation.

Gain confidence in your writing. Find ways to improve business plans, case analyses, essays, and more at the Writing Center. The Writing Center’s experienced faculty and highly trained peer consultants do it all, providing you with a supportive place to practice and refine your writing so that you can succeed at Babson and beyond.

Does public speaking make you nervous? Want to improve your persuasiveness? The Speech Center’s professional speech consultants are here to help you harness nervous energy, develop confidence, and become a skilled persuasive speaker. We can work with you on class presentations, TedTalks, and business pitches through one-on-one, 45-minute sessions, or 90-minute team sessions, depending on your needs. Current students can schedule an appointment via the Student Portal to get started.

Available for select finance, accounting, economics, and operations and information management courses, Peer Tutors provide students with an additional resource for academic support through one-on-one appointments and group study sessions.
