As a reminder, resident first year students are not permitted to have a vehicle on campus. Additionally, resident sophomores, juniors and seniors are not guaranteed a parking permit. Parking exemptions are reserved for extreme circumstances; valid exemption reasons are listed below. If you would like to submit an exemption request, please complete the Intake Form for Parking Exceptions. Please note that completing the form does not guarantee that the request will be approved and may require additional documentation and follow up.

Valid Exception Reasons

Exceptions are reserved for extraordinary circumstances, not convenience. The primary reasons granted may include:

  • Medical Needs: Extenuating medical conditions, treatments, or off-campus appointments that require a vehicle.
  • Life Events: Severe, documented family or personal emergencies that cannot be handled via transportation options provided by Babson College.
  • Disabilities: Students requiring long-term or temporary mobility-related parking accommodations must coordinate directly through Babson Accessibility Services.

What Does NOT Qualify

  • Off-Campus Employment: Having a job off-campus is strictly not considered a valid reason for an exception.
  • General Convenience: Not having a ride home for breaks, visiting family, or grocery shopping does not qualify.

Please email parkingclerk@babson.edu with any questions.

Summer Break: May 31-Aug 1

Students, staff and faculty may not attempt to store or leave their vehicle parked on campus during the summer without proper authorization. Students enrolled in summer classes may continue to park on campus; however, you must email the Babson Parking Office parkingclerk@babson.edu to receive a parking pass. Any vehicle left on campus without proper authorization will be towed at the owner’s expense. Any storage fees imposed by the tow company will be the responsibility of the owner.

Winter Break: Dec 19-Jan 15

During winter break and the potential for snow removal, the Trim Parking Lot has been designated for resident student vehicles that have valid parking permits.

We ask that any resident student vehicles left on campus during this time be parked in the center rows of the Trim lot starting at the Map Hill Drive end of the lot; In rows A1 through A3 and rows B1 through B3, up to the center island and avoid perimeter rows in order to facilitate snow removal.

  • The far-right side of Trim lot closest to Olin College will be blocked off with barricades and tape over the winter season so the Facilities team can remove and properly store all snow. We ask that you avoid parking in this area.
  • Woodland Hill residents leaving for the semester break are asked to park in the Woodland Hill lot during this time and not around the roadway.
  • Babson College does not provide covered parking for students.
  • Babson College assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to any vehicles being left on campus for the break.
  • Commuter students are not permitted to leave their vehicles on campus over the winter break as we have limited spaces available.
  • Faculty and Staff who plan to leave a vehicle on campus during the break must also park in the Trim parking lot so that the Facilities team can clear other lots as necessary.

Thank you for your cooperation, if you have questions or concerns regarding this message, please direct them to parkingclerk@babson.edu.
