Checklists

Planning to take in-person classes this spring? Be sure to reference the following checklists as you prepare to return to campus.

By following our campus safety measures, we’ll be doing everything we can to protect one another, and keep us together.

All Residential Students

  • Complete required pre-arrival onboarding by January 19 if you did not complete for the Fall 2020 semester. The course will launch on Friday, January 8. An email with instructions will be sent to all students who did not complete the course in fall 2020. Those who completed onboarding in the fall are encouraged to review the content for important campus updates. To access the course, log into canvas.babson.edu and select the course from your Dashboard. From your Home Page, you can click through the modules. The entire course will take an estimated 1.5 hours to complete and also serve as a helpful resource throughout the semester.
  • Quarantine for 14 days prior to arriving on campus.
  • Order course materials for in-store pick-up. Reminder that course materials are not stocked in the Campus Store and should be ordered by January 12 for in-store pick-up prior to the first day of classes.
  • Create a quarantine plan. Talk with family about personal support needs in the case of a positive diagnosis.
  • If possible, complete a COVID-19 test from a provider of choice no more than 72 hours before arrival on campus. If results are positive, contact Health Services and delay your return to campus for 10 days.
  • Schedule an on-campus COVID-19 test to be completed immediately upon arrival to campus and prior to entering your assigned residence hall.
  • Complete a Campus Visitor Registration Form for those accompanying you when arriving on campus. Reminder that each student may only have one helper enter the residence halls during the move-in process and they should plan to depart campus following the student’s move-in timeframe.
  • All students must complete the required Attestation of Compliance three (3) to fourteen (14) days prior to arrival on campus. You will be asked to confirm whether you can or cannot agree to the conditions outlined (see FAQ below). The Attestation can be completed here as of January 4.
  • If you tested positive for COVID-19 (from a non-Babson test) on or after October 13, 2020, please submit your test results to Health Services via the online student health portal, by fax at 781-239-5069 , or by email. Students who tested positive and can provide documentation are removed from the testing protocol for 90 days. Please contact Health Services with any questions.
  • Arrive to campus at your assigned arrival date and time with a maximum of one helper who has completed a Visitor Registration Form. Please arrive on time to maximize your time moving into your residence hall.
  • All health and safety protocols, including face coverings, must be followed during move-in.
  • New students checking in should be prepared with a government issued (Passport, License, etc.) photo ID or Babson OneCard.
  • Complete an on-campus COVID-19 test immediately upon arrival to campus and prior to entering assigned residence hall. If arriving after the testing center is closed, schedule a COVID-19 test for the first available time the following day and quarantine in your room until that time. Appointment required, schedule in advance.
  • Quarantine until one negative test result is received for students who completed pre-arrival quarantine or two negative test results are received for students unable to complete pre-arrival quarantine. (see FAQ below).

Quarantine expectations while awaiting test results:

  • Remain in your assigned room.
  • Use only your assigned household bathroom.
  • Leave only to get grab n’ go food and to pick up course materials from the Campus Store, laptops, and/or other approved items.

Yes, all students should quarantine for 14 days prior to arriving at Babson. Note that travel to campus, including necessary hotel stays as part of your travel, does not nullify your pre-arrival quarantine as long as you continue to follow health and safety protocols (maintain social distancing and wear a face coverings/mask).

During that time, students must remain in their assigned residence hall, use only their assigned household bathroom, and leave only to get grab n’ go food and to pick up course materials from the Campus Store, laptops, and/or other approved items.

Students who are unable to quarantine before arrival must quarantine until two negative test results are received and follow the process outlined above.

Anyone traveling to campus is required to comply with the Massachusetts Travel Order. All visitors to campus must complete the Campus Visitor Registration Form prior to arrival. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not come to the Babson campus.

Off-campus students are expected to quarantine for 14 days prior to entering Babson’s campus and must receive two negative COVID Babson tests before attending classes.
