Babson Wifi

Babson College is a member of eduroam: the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

Babson faculty, staff, and students are able to use their full Babson email address and current Babson password as credentials to join both their Babson-provided equipment and personal devices to this network. Should our community members travel to any of the participating universities and other academic institutions with locations in over 90 countries around the world, their devices will automatically join the local instance of eduroam.

Babson Students, Faculty, Staff, and Affiliates:

Users with Babson accounts should use the following device type-specific guides to connect to wireless while on campus.

Babson-issued devices are automatically configured with a SecureW2 certificate for simplified access to the eduroam SSID. Note that Internet of Things (non-computer / tablet / phone) devices will need to have registered their hardware MAC address with a Registration Portal before the device is able to connect to wireless via the SmartDevices SSID.

Students should register their IoT devices at https://babsonwifi.babson.edu/ and Faculty and Staff should register their IoT devices at https://mydevices.babson.edu/.

Babson-issued Windows & MacOS laptops are configured to automatically join the eduroam SSID. Should you experience difficulties connecting with your Babson-issued device, please contact the IT Service Center for assistance.

Guests / Visitors / Alumni:

Guests or alumni who return to campus will need to register their device prior to being able to access the BabsonGuest wireless network. A registered device is granted 7 days of access before being required to register again. Please see our illustrated guide for assistance.

Guests from other Eduroam-Participating Institutions:

Use eduroam as your preferred wi-fi connection while on campus. Connect using your account credentials from your home institution—you do not need to register as a guest as documented above or obtain Babson credentials to use eduroam.

Should you encounter difficulties with the above, please contact the IT Service Center for assistance. They can be reached via support@babson.edu, or at 781-239-4357, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
