Videoconferencing

Babson provides videoconferencing in two locations:

New - Telepresence facilities at Exec Ed

Babson has implemented a state-of-the-art high definition video conferencing/Telepresence facility at Exec Ed in room C-10.  Telepresence enables instructors to see and talk to their students remotely through high quality audio/video and the students to do the same - in other words, they really feel each other's presence.  It includes video of the faculty, of the students, the content on your computer and you can use an interactive whiteboard and record it.  Currently, we can connect up to 11 locations.  (You need this equipment at your location to be able to connect.) To find out more about availability, contact citg@babson.edu

The Blank Center houses a sophisticated classroom-style videoconference room which seats 24. Call x4420 for information on using/scheduling the facility.

Olin Hall is equipped with a portable videoconference unit that can be set up in any classroom in the building.

Please contact Bill O’Donnell, x4469, for assistance in coordinating your event. To request a videoconference, please make sure to reserve the room through the appropriate organization. Videoconferences are inherently complex.

In order to have a successful conference you should schedule an equipment and connectivity test 24 hours prior to the event. Please consult with Bill O’Donnell at x4469 in order to schedule the test.
