    Finance Lab 101 - Introduction to Bloomberg - 12/3

    The Cutler Center Finance Lab 101 series provides students with the opportunity to learn more about the various analytical tools and resources available in the finance lab through hands-on sessions that will help students strengthen their skills, gain more practice for coursework, and prepare for internships and job opportunities. Join Tyson Corner '22, Gabriel Papa '23, and Peter D'Ambrosio '24 for a Bloomberg introductory session. Our Cutler Center student assistants will highlight some of the most useful functions and navigation tools in Bloomberg that will be beneficial to students in their finance classes and project work. Tyson, Gabriel, and Peter will walk through a number of functions they use to research companies, from screening to finding new ideas to looking at company fundamentals and attempting to value them. Students will have the opportunity to navigate Bloomberg and practice exploring functions such as FA (financial analysis) and EQRV (equity relative valuation). Mark previously directed Staples global environmental commitment and sustainable business practices as VP Sustainability. He was responsible for driving the companys sustainability efforts in five major areas: the development of more sustainable products, packaging and services; customer recycling solutions; internal waste reduction; the development of global carbon reduction and renewable energy strategies; as well as environmental education for customers and associates focused on sustainable business solutions. A 28-year Staples veteran, Buckley had been in this role for 16 years and was previously vice president of facilities management and purchasing at Staples where he directed company-wide recycling and energy conservation programs. He is an active member of several environmental and non-profit organizations, including the Advisory Council member for the Product Stewardship Institute, former board member of Earth Force a national environmental education organization and the John Andrew Mazie Foundation, and current board member of the Belantara Foundation and the REMADE Institute.About Good Business FridayGood Business Fridays are open conversations around what it means to lead a good business. FAQs:What should I wear? Wear clothing that will allow you to move, stretch, and breathe with ease.
