    Wellness - Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT), Week 2

    Join Irene Wong, certified IPT Professional Level Practitioner, for 4 sessions of Integrated Positional Therapy. The goal of IPT is to correct muscle misalignment. Due to daily activities like computer work, texting, driving, watching TV, etc., our posture becomes adversely affected and we become hunched over. Our muscles accommodate these abnormal positions and - because muscles are attached to bones - they pull the skeleton out of alignment, thus producing pain. IPT consists of very gentle stretching, isometric exercises, and poses to help the muscles go back to their normal position, helping you regain proper posture and reduce or eliminate pain. Even if you don't have many aches and pains, IPT can help you improve and maintain your posture for years to come. The 4-week program will cover different sections of the body each week: Week 1: Hips, thighs, and hamstrings Week 2: Chest and upper back muscles, with a review of Week 1 Week 3: Shoulder and neck muscles plus elbow, wrist, and hand, with a review of Weeks 1 and 2 Week 4: Loosening and stretching the back muscles and sacral area, with a review of Weeks 1, 2 and 3. There will be a final Q and A. WHO: Anyone HOW: Participants do not have to attend every session, although each session is included with registration.
