Dr. Amanda Weirup is an Assistant Professor in the Management Division at Babson College, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in negotiation and conflict management. Her research focuses on ethical decision-making in organizations, with particular emphasis on negotiation processes and conflict management in early-stage entrepreneurial ventures. She also contributes to the field of negotiation pedagogy, designing innovative experimental exercises that enhance learning outcomes in negotiation education.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Weirup established herself as a strategic leader in the consulting industry, spending over a decade at Bain & Company and Accenture. During her consulting tenure, she successfully led numerous initiatives in cost reduction, process improvement, and customer strategy across various industries. This practical experience enriches her teaching and research, allowing her to bridge theoretical frameworks with real-world applications.

Dr. Weirup's current research investigates the intersection of artificial intelligence and ethical decision-making in business negotiations, as well as conflict management processes in entrepreneurial teams. Her work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Negotiation Journal, and she regularly presents her findings at prestigious international conferences. Her innovative teaching methods and research contributions have made her courses among the most sought-after in both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Dr. Weirup earned her Ph.D. and MBA in Organizational Behavior and Theory from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, where she also served on the faculty before joining Babson. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, receiving a BS in Business Administration. She maintains active memberships in several professional organizations and frequently consults with organizations on negotiation strategy and conflict management.

Dr. Weirup lives in the Boston area with her most frequent negotiating partners: her husband and two children.
