Erin Degnan Escobedo

Erin Degnan Escobedo has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry across law, brokerage, and investment. She teaches Babson’s real estate curriculum, has created several real estate courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs, and co created experiential learning programs, including real estate treks to New York City and Miami. She serves as the inaugural Faculty Director of the TARCO Institute of Real Estate and Entrepreneurship and holds the George E. Slye ’53 Term Chair in Real Estate Management.

Erin is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and Florida and a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts. Her legal practice has focused on real estate law, corporate transactions, and commercial litigation. She has represented Fortune 500 companies and individual clients as both a litigator and transactional attorney at Shutts and Bowen LLP in Miami. She later served as Associate General Counsel for a NASDAQ listed real estate company engaged in homebuilding and land development across multiple states, overseeing approximately $545 million in assets.

Prior to joining Babson, Erin was a Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Business Administration and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Florida International University College of Law. At Babson, she teaches courses including Real Estate Investment, Real Estate Transactions, Residential Real Estate, Real Estate Development, Business Law and Ethics, and Global Cities: Real Estate Capital, Markets and Value Creation.
