Claire Cecile Pierre, MD

Executive Director

Internal Medicine Physician, Board Certified in Clinical Informatics, with experience in quality informatics, strategic planning, program implementation, population management and patient centered care. Claire Cecile has a special interest in global health, medical group visits and public health reporting, and a passion for the efficient design, targeted implementation, and innovative use of technology. She is focused on exploring the link between impact investing, social entrepreneurship and economic growth in underserved areas locally and globally.

Founding Faculty Director, Stephen C. and Carmella R. Kletjian Foundation Distinguished Professor of Global Healthcare Entrepreneurship

Professor Glover studies the effectiveness of improvement and innovation techniques to advance operational performance. She conducts research studies and engages students in teaching activities in partnership with healthcare delivery organizations in a variety of countries, including the U.S., Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Uganda, and Haiti. She has worked with manufacturing and other service organizations.

Professor Glover has published in numerous academic journals including Healthcare Management Review, BioMed Central (BMC) Health Services Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Economics, and International Journal of Production Research. Her work has been featured in popular press and online media outlets including the NEJM Catalyst and the Financial Times. Professor Glover was recognized with the 2011 Best Dissertation Award from the American Society of Engineering Management, has won several best paper awards, and has served as the President of the Society of Engineering and Management Systems (SEMS) within the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
