TwitterRob Major is an associate dean and the director of the Office of Academic Services. He oversees the office’s operations, which includes personal and academic support for undergraduates and management of curriculum support for Babson’s innovative, integrated curriculum.

He earned his BS from the University of Rhode Island and his master’s degree in higher education administration from Suffolk University.

He earned his BA from the College of the Holy Cross, his master’s degree in education from Boston College, and his Master of Business Administration from Babson College.

Kristen Fischer

Assistant Director, Academic Operations and Class Dean

Kristen Fischer provides academic and personal support to students, including advisement on course selection and registration, academic planning, study abroad, and off-campus course work.  Additionally, she coordinates academic policy updates, certification of graduates, and serves on the CARE Team.

She earned her BA from Hamilton College and her master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University.

Stephanie Kuchova provides academic and personal support to students, including advisement on course selection and registration, academic planning, study abroad, and off-campus course work.

​She earned her BSBA from Western New England University and her Master of Science degree in student affairs and higher education from Miami University.

Dan Kwash

Associate Director, Senior Class Dean

Dan Kwash oversees the class deans, and provides academic and personal support to students, including advisement on course selection and registration, academic planning, education abroad, and off-campus course work. Additionally, he is on the CARE Team, and Chairs the Fall and Senior Awards Ceremonies. 

He earned his BA from Bridgewater State University and his master’s degree in education with a concentration in higher education, also from Bridgewater State University.

Assistant Class Dean

Heather Miller provides academic and personal support to students, including advisement on course selection and registration, academic planning, study abroad, and off-campus course work.  Additionally she manages the transfer credit process, including outreach to incoming transfer students.

​She earned her BA from Drew University, her Master of Education degree in college student affairs administration from the University of Georgia, and her master’s in public administration from Bridgewater State University.

She earned her BA from Saint Michael’s College and her master’s degree in international education from the School of International Training Graduate Institute.​

Michelle Thomas provides academic and personal support to students, including advisement on course selection and registration, academic planning, study abroad, and off-campus course work.  Additionally, she manages the January Admits and the First Generation Program.

She earned her BS from Lesley University and her Master of Urban Affairs from Boston University - Metropolitan.

Associate Director

As Associate Director, Kate is responsible for the management, strategic planning, and decision making for the curriculum and program support operations within the office. Kate’s team manages the operational components of the Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME) course, Sophomore Management Experience (SME), Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP), and lead the Peer Mentor team. Kate also oversees the First Year Seminar program.

Kate earned her BA with a certificate in professional writing and technical communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, her master’s degree in higher education administration from North Carolina State University, and a graduate certificate in the program Leadership for Change: Sustainability, Responsibility, and Community at Boston College.

Jackie Harris

Program Manager

Jackie Harris is the program manager for the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program of the Office of Academic Services. She organizes all aspects of the program, including coordination of volunteer recruitment, management of volunteer training, event-day management, and many other tasks that lead to the program’s success.

Program Coordinator

Ziva Larson is a program coordinator for curriculum support in the Office of Academic Services. Ziva is part of the curriculum and program support team that works with faculty who provide support for FME (Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship) and the integrated Sophomore Management Experience (SME) curriculum. Ziva also manages the students who staff the Innovation Center.

They earned a BA from Wellesley College, a master’s degree in higher education from Boston College, and their certificate in institutional research from Boston College.

Conor O’Brien

Senior Program Manager, Academic Services

TwitterConor O’Brien is the senior program manager in Academic Services. He leads programming efforts for the office, including the First-Year/Senior Retreat, the Senior Transition Fair, the December Graduates Reception, and more. He also oversees the Peer Mentor program, and assists in the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation, Family Orientation, and First-Year Seminar.

He earned his BA from Quinnipiac University and his master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina.

Assistant Director, Curriculum and Program Support

Kevin O’Leary is the assistant director for curriculum and program support in the Office of Academic Services. He works closely with faculty who provide support for FME (Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship) and the integrated Sophomore Management Experience (SME) curriculum in areas including, Canvas, simulations, course projects, academic programs, exams, and enrollment management.

He earned his BA and his master’s degree in education from Merrimack College.

Program Coordinator

Jacob Yeo is a program coordinator for curriculum support in the Office of Academic Services. He is part of the curriculum and program support team that works with faculty who provide support for FME (Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship) and the integrated Sophomore Management Experience (SME) curriculum. He also manages the FME auditing and accounting mentors who act as an accounting resource to students and faculty.

Jacob earned a B.S. from Babson College.

Assistant Director, Honors and Presidential Scholars Programs

Sabrina Stehly is the assistant director of the Honors and Presidential Scholars programs. She coordinates all aspects of the Honors Program, including working with faculty on administration and recruitment and providing academic and personal support to the students. She also manages the Presidential Scholars Program.

She earned her BA from George Mason University and her master’s degree in higher education from Boston College.

Colleen Biron is the administrative assistant in the Office of Academic Services. She oversees the front desk and handles the overall office support functions and event planning as a part of her day-to-day duties.

She earned her BFA from The Boston Conservatory.
