Virtual interviews for students interested in applying to Babson for Fall 2021 are available beginning April 1, 2020. Please note, interviews are only open to current high school juniors with a high school graduation year of 2021 – no exceptions will be made. Interviews must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Please use the Interview Calendar to schedule your interview.
Beginning in the Fall 2020, Babson will offer off-campus interviews for high school seniors as well. Check back for updates to our Off-Campus Interview scheduler to see if a Babson admission officer is coming to a city near you.
Interviews are strongly recommended for prospective transfer students. Interviews for students interested in transferring for the Fall Semester (beginning September 2020) will be available through April 1, 2020. Interviews for students interested in transferring for the Spring Semester (beginning January 2021) will be available through November 1, 2020. Interviews can be scheduled either by calling the Office of Undergraduate Admission toll-free (within the U.S.) at 800-488-3696 or 781-239-5522 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interviews at Babson
Interviews are an excellent opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with an admission counselor or student admission intern so that we can get to know you in person prior to beginning the application review process.
If you choose to interview with us you should be prepared to talk about yourself and your interest in Babson, and bring any questions you would like to discuss. A summary of our conversation with you will become part of your admission file and can be influential in the decision we make.
There is no suggested dress code for the interview, but you should remember that this may be your first and only one-on-one meeting with a member of our admission staff.
While we enjoy getting to know our applicants during the interview process, we realize that not everyone is able to schedule an interview; for this reason, students who choose not to schedule an interview will not be penalized in our admission process. As an alternative to on-campus or alumni interviews, applicants from China have the option to schedule an interview through InitialView.com.
We are pleased to offer first-year applicants the opportunity to interview with Babson alumni. Alumni interviews can be conducted either in-person or through virtual platforms such as Skype/Facetime/Google Hangout/etc. In-person interviews will take place on a mutually agreed upon date, time and location with no interview occurring at an alumnus’ personal home. A student applying to Babson can only have one interview with the college, and thus an applicant who has already had an interview with the Undergraduate Admission Office will not be eligible for an alumni interview.
Please know that while Babson’s alumni network is quite extensive, there may be instances where we are not able to accommodate a request for an interview with a Babson alumnus. Every effort will be made to accommodate as many students as possible.
Students applying for first-year admission to Babson will be able to request an alumni interview through their Babson Applicant Portal once their application is submitted. Alumni Interviews are available beginning in October for Early Decision I and Early Action candidates. Alumni Interviews are available early January for Early Decision II and Regular Candidates.
