Family Entrepreneurship Amplifier Program

Yearlong Programs

Our groundbreaking Family Entrepreneurship Amplifier program for undergraduate students engages students throughout their entire Babson experience.

Your Freshman year

The Freshmen Family Entrepreneurship Learning Community (FELC) is a wonderful community for Freshmen to connect with other students from family entrepreneurship backgrounds and explore how to leverage your family’s entrepreneurship legacy to chart your own journey.

Your Sophomore and Junior years

Entrepreneurial Families Course (EPS 3551): Professor Matt Allen is the founder of this course and advisor to global family businesses. With his guidance, students will explore with their parents various aspects of the family’s entrepreneurial legacy. By co-creating a shared family vision that incorporates the next generation, students and their families improve their family functioning and amplify their ability to act entrepreneurially together.

  • Watch the class info session here
  • This is a 4-credit class, offered over one semester (once in the Spring and once in the Fall)

Family Entrepreneurial Leadership (FEL) Program: One of our most impactful “small group” year-long programs, the FEL program builds students' emotional intelligence skills to have better relationships and work more effectively with their family.

Your Senior year

Entrepreneurial Families Project Course (EPS 3552): The class is an opportunity for you to work directly with your family on an entrepreneurial project. Professor Matt Allen teaches this course, which runs the full academic year (Fall and Spring).

  • Each semester will be worth 2 credits (a total of 4 credits for the entire year).
  • The class meets as a group 3 times each semester so that the majority of your work is with your family on the project.  All kinds of entrepreneurial projects are welcomed for this course.

Once you join the Amplifier Program, you automatically become  part of Babson’s Global Family Entrepreneurship Amplifier Community, which offers opportunities for continued learning and connections after you graduate.
