The Gerri Randlett Got Your Back Fund

The Gerri Randlett Got Your Back Fund was established in 2019 as a signature fund under the Institute for Social Innovation through the generosity of Andres Posada ’09 and Philip Coleman ’09. Both were grateful for Gerri Randlett’s assistance during their time at Babson College. With Randlett’s spirit in mind, the fund embodies the idea of “paying it forward.”

Awards are granted to individuals who are committed to improving the wellbeing of others in the Babson community at home, school, work, or anywhere. If you know of a way you can help someone who is struggling, who needs support or assistance of any kind, we’d like to hear from you.

Think big! But also think medium and think small. There is no idea too far-fetched or simple. Just give someone (or a group of people) assistance or a helping hand. Consider:

  • Will what you’re doing help solve a problem?
  • Will someone’s spirits be lifted?
  • Will you change someone’s circumstances for the better?
  • Will you tackle a social issue with a business-related idea?

Those are simply suggestions. We’re open to whatever you have in mind. Just go do the right thing!

Requests for funding can be submitted by anyone in the broader Babson community at any time, and will be reviewed by the Advisory Committee within at least five business days upon receipt. The Committee recognizes that some requests will be sensitive in nature, and will keep all requests confidential.

Submit a request today by emailing gotyourback@babson.edu and please answer the following questions:

  • What is your connection to the Babson community (student, faculty, staff, alumni, parent, other partner)?
  • Who in the Babson community are you planning to help (student, faculty, staff, alumni, parent, other partner)?
  • How will this funding enable you to take a specific action that will help someone else or a group of people?
  • Will you be able to share with Advisory Committee the eventual impact of the funding? (Please note that this can be anonymous.)

Advisory Committee:

  • Andres Posada '09
  • Philip Coleman '09
