WIN Lab Scholarships

With the generous support of FedEx, the WIN Lab is able to offer a limited number of full and partial scholarships to offset the cost of the program.

To be considered for the scholarship founders must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Business is led by a woman of color or minority founder as defined by the United States Department of Commerce Minority
• Business Development Agency
• Businesses located in an underserved community
• COVID impact on Business revenue
• Business financial need

Power as CEO

The WIN Lab is dedicated to catalyzing founders who are passionate, committed, coachable, and who want to build scalable ventures! These leaders will form part of a diverse cohort that will build their business as they accelerate their entrepreneurial journey as peers. Their potential and drive may speak louder than their business concept. We look at the entrepreneur and their potential, not only their traction to date.

Thinking BIG

The WIN Lab is industry agnostic and curates cohorts that include products and services from all sectors. The accelerator is looking for high growth, well-vetted, BIG ideas with strong positioning in the market, and plans for scalability.

Timing Is Everything

The WIN Lab looks for early-stage companies that have already launched and are generating revenue. While we love entrepreneurs with a lot of passion and a great idea, the WIN Lab has been designed to help startups grow their businesses rather than formulate and launch them. Exceptions can be made for technology or SAAS companies that have begun building their platform or prototype and have a strong understanding of the market they’re serving and the problem that they’re solving. Applicants should also show a strong commitment to meet the demands of the program and demonstrate that the company is positioned to effectively leverage the WIN Lab’s resources.

Community Fit

Applicants should be ready to join and contribute to an entrepreneurial community. We are looking for founders that are willing to fully engage by committing time and energy to the program and their peers. The WIN Lab provides its entrepreneurs with an immense amount of expertise, coaching, and resources, and we ask for commitment and contribution in return. Participants are required to show up to all content sessions, meet their milestones, provide feedback to their fellow founders, and operate with openness and transparency during the program.

Team

Research shows that start-ups with co-founders are more likely to achieve early success and scalability. The WIN Lab seeks founders that are part of strong, women-led teams with co-founders and/or employees that are committed to venture growth. However, solo founders that are actively seeking team members or have a strong organizational plan in place are encouraged to apply. (Please note—co-founders must have agreements in place before beginning the program.)
