    Portfolio Performance Competition

    Portfolio Performance is BGFC’s flagship competition that puts to test the financial mettle and rigor of the Babson undergraduate and graduate communities. It is a six-week long competition starting October 3, 2022 and ending November 11, 2022. It will entail two major checkpoints at 3 weeks and 6 weeks when the team’s portfolio performance (value of the portfolio) will be analyzed to determine the winner.  Find out more Green Chevron

He has been an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School since 1993 and is the author of Expectations Investing, More Than You Know, Think Twice, and The Success Equation.The distinguished speaker series is a fireside chat conversation with a thought leader in finance. This session will be moderated by Kenechukwu E. Anadu, CFA, CAIA, Vice President at Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and will be followed by a networking reception.     Join fellow alumni, parents, and friends from the Detroit region as they give back to their community. The Babson Alumni Club of Detroit has partnered with The Greening of Detroit to plant trees in the city. Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear closed toe shoes or boots, gloves, and bring water + needed snacks. This initiative is in memory of Ellen Solomita '89 and Babson's Ellen S. Solomita's Day of Service. Ellen Solomita was a valued member of Babson's Advancement staff. What better way to honor Ellen's legacy than by joining together in service, something that was so important to her. She always thought of others and truly cared about those around her.     Finance Fireside Chat with Jose M. Linares '93 - 10/18

    Join the Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance as Jose M. Linares '93 speaks to Babson students about his career path from Babson, his opportunities working for leading financial services firms around the world, and his most recent role as the Global Head of Santanders Corporate and Investment Bank. Jose has over 25 years of experience working for leading financial firms in New York, Hong Kong, and London. He started his career covering Latin American stocks at Morgan Stanley and went on to spend more than 17 years at J.P. Morgan where he held several senior positions in corporate and investment banking. Since 2017, Jose is the Global Head of Santander's Corporate and Investment Bank. He is a member of the Groups Management Committee, Executive Risk Committee, Inclusive and Sustainable Banking Steering Committee, and Santanders Asset Management Board.
