The Cutler Center is pleased to partner with Toze Francisco of The Marquee Group to offer professional development training using Python. During this hands-on workshop, participants will gain the skills needed to develop Python programs to solve typical finance problems, cutting through the noise of generic 'Data Science' courses. Participants will be introduced to best-practices programming in Python to clean, analyze, and visualize financial data. This training is specifically designed for business and finance professionals and is regularly offered at many financial firms around the world.An overview of the workshop learning topics can be accessed here. Prerequisites:This is an introductory workshop. A general understanding of programming principles is recommended but not required. Students should have a good understanding of financial concepts.Space is limited. Registration requires a $20 refundable deposit that will be returned upon successful completion of the workshop. By registering for this workshop, students must be able to commit to the full program timeframe (9 am-5 pm). Ms. Hynes is the Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management. She is one of five female CEOs among the top 20 asset management firms and is the recipient of numerous industry awards, including Barron's 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance and 100 Women in Finance's North American Industry Leadership Award. The distinguished speaker series is a fireside chat conversation with a thought leader in finance. This session will be moderated by Bruce Herring '87, P'19, a former senior executive at Fidelity Investments and on the Board of Trustees at Babson College.
