Leslie Chiu, Director
Leslie Chiu has been an AEA stage manager, production manager, arts administrator, and educator in the theater and entertainment industry for over twenty-five years. She joined the Sorenson Center for the Arts as General Manager in 2017 and became Director in October 2019. Before coming to Babson College, Leslie was the Director of Production for Brandeis University's Department of Theatre Arts and Production Stage Manager for the Off-Broadway show Blue Man Group (Boston). She has taught classes and workshops in theater, stage management, and production management at Brandeis University, Bridgewater State University, University of Rhode Island, and KCACTF. Her theater credits include: Production Manager for several of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's annual outdoor productions on the Boston Common; Assistant Producer for Boston Early Music Festival's Niobe: Regina de Tebe; and Production Stage Manager at Virginia Opera. Leslie received her MFA in Stage Management from the Universiry of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music and her BFA in Theatrical Design/Technology from Florida State University.
Mark Lorenzo, Technical Director
Mark has an extensive background in the performing arts industry: two stints managing the Venue Communications Centers for the Salt Lake City and Vancouver, Winter Olympic Games; seven years with High Output Inc., a provider of theater and film production equipment as well as systems design and installation, theatrical production, and special events; and 10 years with the Boston Ballet Company in the production department. He attended both Boston University and Emerson College, where he assisted with the opening of the Emerson (now Cutler) Majestic Theater.
Maggie McCauley, Administrative Coordinator
Maggie grew up outside Boston and attended Boston University where she received a BA in Sociology. She has worked for a number of area startup companies; however, her passion is black and white photography. She currently resides in Uxbridge, MA, with her husband John (who is a demolition expert) and is a member of the Galatea Fine Arts Gallery, located in the SOWA area of Boston. Maggie is currently working on a show that will feature her personal photography work.
Heather Darrow, Marketing Consultant
Heather has been working in arts administration for over 20 years and prior to working at BabsonARTS was the Director of Marketing for Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Development Director at New Repertory Theater and was with Broadway Across America-Boston (now Broadway in Boston) as Associate Marketing Manager before assuming the role of Marketing Director where she supported the marketing efforts of touring Broadway productions. Her career began at New York City Opera where she spent five years in the Marketing Department.

Clayton DeWalt, Band Director
Trombonist Clayton DeWalt directs the Babson Music Collective student music ensemble. He began touring and recording professionally at age 15. He has made a career of a wide range of musical styles including South African pop, blues, R&B, classical chamber music, salsa, Balkan brass, jazz, reggae and folk. Performing in venues ranging from Lincoln Center to the Monaco Opera House, he has worked with a variety of talented artists, such as Toshiko Akiyoshi, Nancy Wilson, John Brown’s Body, Robin McKelle, The New York Voices, the Gene Krupa Orchestra, The Temptations, and Regis Philbin. As an educator, Clayton teaches music in the Lincoln, Wayland and Canton public schools and maintains a private studio. Clayton holds a BS in Music Education from Slippery Rock University, a MM in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory of Music, and is currently pursuing his DMA in Jazz Studies at the New England Conservatory.
