Leila Lamoureux MBA’18

Director of Sustainability & Campus Utilization

Leila Scott Lamoureux MBA’18 is a dynamic professional with a rich and diverse background in higher education and strategy leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Sustainability and Campus Utilization, she brings a wealth of experience and a demonstrated track record of excellence in project management and community building.

Leila is particularly skilled in creating connections and scaling communities for students, faculty and staff. Her dedication to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment has made a significant impact at Babson College, where she has spent a decade in various roles. Immediately prior to her current role, Leila served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President.

Leila Scott Lamoureux combines her passion for education and her strategic acumen to make a lasting impact in her field. She is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience and empowering students and professionals alike. She has an unwavering commitment to excellence and leveraging her abilities to bridge the gap between education, business, and community-building.

Josh Stevenson

Associate Director, Social Impact and Sustainability, The Institute for Social Innovation

Josh Stevenson brings over 18 years of experience in higher education, collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and various community partners. He has extensive knowledge in student development and mentorship with a foundation in social and environmental impact. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director of Social Impact and Sustainability at Babson College, where he leads initiatives in community service and sustainability engagement.

In his role, Josh manages students, supports projects and learning initiatives, and organizes events and programs to increase student participation in service, justice, and sustainability initiatives. In addition, he creates impactful experiences, provides mentorship and resources to students, and evaluates the effectiveness of programs to ensure they meet educational goals and foster a culture of social responsibility and environmental stewardship. His goal is to embed sustainability as a core value across all functions and areas of the College.

Josh holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Bay Path University, where his research focused on service learning in business education. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College.

David Blodgett, Associate Professor, Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology Division

Associate Professor, Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology Division

Dr. Blodgett joined Babson College in September of 2012 and currently teaches Biotechnology in the Math and Science Division. He received his B.A. in Chemistry and Spanish from Assumption College in 2002, his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science in 2007, and M.S. in Clinical Investigation in 2012 at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dr. Blodgett's research interests center on glucose metabolism and the dysfunction caused by diabetes. In the lab, he investigates gene expression changes in alpha and beta cells from human pancreatic islets donors who do not have diabetes or have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The goal of these studies is to identify genes that positively or negatively affect beta cell function, which could eventually become therapeutic targets.

His research has been accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals such as: Diabetes, Current Opinion in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Obesity, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of General Physiology, and Biochemistry. Dr. Blodgett is generally interested in educating the broader community about the role of science and technology in everyone's daily lives and looks forward to establishing a student-centered research program on campus.
