Babson will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community by carrying forward or evolving effective mitigation strategies and protocols.

Testing and Symptom Monitoring

Beginning June 15, for those community members who are authorized to work or learn on campus, daily symptom reporting is no longer required, and vaccinated individuals will be exempt from regular asymptomatic testing. Staff and Faculty must still have clearance to work on campus, which is done through their manager.

Regular asymptomatic testing requirements may remain in place for those who are unvaccinated.

Asymptomatic testing for both vaccinated and unvaccinated students is being considered as part of our initial return to campus. Additional information will be shared regarding arrival testing later this summer.

Symptomatic testing will continue to be available to full time students via Babson Health Services. Anyone exhibiting symptoms should remain at home or in their assigned residence and contact Babson Health Services or their physician for guidance.

Reentry and Badging Requirements

As we work to facilitate a safe transition back to campus this fall, asymptomatic testing will likely be required for initial reentry to the in-person experience. Any planned testing requirements or additional health and safety protocols will be shared as we get closer to the start of the semester.

Following the completion of any reentry requirements, fully vaccinated students will receive a one-time badge confirming eligibility for all in-person activities. We continue to examine protocols and best practices for unvaccinated community members.

Cleaning and Filtration

Babson’s Facilities team will continue to deploy advanced cleaning and disinfecting methods and protocols.

Additionally, enhanced air filtration systems implemented over the past year will remain in place.

Navigating Campus Spaces

Please continue to be mindful of modified foot-traffic flow on campus, including one-way directional signage and designated entrances/exits. Signage will be updated based on the needs of our community and as health recommendations and best practices evolve.

Masks are no longer required outdoors on Babson’s campus, as long as appropriate physical distance can be maintained. Masks remain mandatory in all indoor campus spaces and facilities per Commonwealth of Massachusetts guidelines. Updates will be shared as policies change or evolve.

Masks/face coverings may only be removed when:

  • Eating or drinking
  • During a medical emergency
  • Outdoors when distance can be maintained
