Babson will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community by carrying forward or evolving effective mitigation strategies and protocols.

Last updated Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Students and employees must adhere to arrival testing protocols. Refer to the testing sections of the Student and Employee pages for further details.

The Babson Testing Center is located on the second floor of the Webster Center. Please Schedule a Babson PCR Test and bring your Babson One Card or photo ID. Masks are required in the Testing Center.

Symptomatic testing will continue to be available to full-time students via Babson Health Services. Anyone exhibiting symptoms should remain at home or in their assigned residence and contact Babson Health Services or their physician for guidance.

Masking policies during the arrival period are in response to the arrival testing policies to help protect our campus as we return to full capacity. Please see the testing section for more details.

Masks may be removed in residence hall restrooms and by roommates in private sleeping quarters, in addition to when actively eating and/or drinking.

Arrival Masking Requirements

  • All community members must remain masked indoors, regardless of vaccination status, until a negative Babson PCR test result is received.
  • All visitors and suppliers, regardless of vaccination status, must remain masked between August 15 and August 30.

Following Arrival Testing Results

  • Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks, indoors or outdoors, on Babson’s campuses.
  • Unvaccinated individuals, as well as those who are partially vaccinated or who received an exemption, must continue to wear masks indoors.
  • Unvaccinated visitors and suppliers must continue to wear masks indoors

This policy update was made in consultation with expert consultants from Environmental Health & Engineering Inc. (EHE), and is supported by an array of mitigation measures across campus.

Please be advised masks are required at the testing center, sports medicine, and health services per CDC guidance.

Following the arrival testing process, all community members are required to participate in weekly asymptomatic surveillance testing. Testing should be done once a week (every 7 days). Schedule a Babson PCR Test.

We anticipate weekly surveillance testing to extend through September 17, and will notify the campus of any changes to that period as we evaluate current data.

After this period of weekly testing, we anticipate implementing intermittent and targeted testing approaches to surveillance testing for the duration of the semester. These approaches will be based on current health data, and will be announced at the start of the semester.

Babson’s Facilities team continues to deploy advanced cleaning and disinfecting methods and protocols.

Enhanced air filtration systems implemented over the past year will remain in place.

Signage will be updated based on the needs of our community and as health recommendations and best practices evolve.

Please continue to be mindful of modified foot-traffic flow on campus, including one-way directional signage and designated entrances/exits.

Overnight guests (outside of the Babson community) are not permitted in Babson residence halls. We will continue to evaluate this policy in the coming weeks and evolve as appropriate.

All other visitors should review the visitor and supplier protocol and adhere to all Babson policies and CDC recommended preventative measures.
