Babson College Boston

All visitors to the Babson Boston campus must adhere to Babson College campus safety protocols and health guidelines. In addition, the following policies and procedures apply to our 100 High Street location:

Temperature screening via a kiosk will be conducted for all individuals entering the 100 High Street facility. This is a requirement by Rockhill property management and is in addition to Babson College’s symptom reporting protocol. Please allow for additional time for temperature screening and a limit of individuals allowed on the elevators.

All visitors to the Babson Boston campus must complete the Babson College visitor registration form.

In addition, guests must alert the Babson Boston team and receive confirmation of their visit being approved at least 24 hours in advance of visiting to comply with 100 High Street building protocols. The Babson Boston campus is located on the first and 12th floor of the building. Please adhere to all directional signage, social distancing guidelines, and health and safety measures as you navigate the building.

The first floor co-working space will be available only by appointment and approved registration to maintain appropriate physical distancing. A valid Babson OneCard must be used to gain entry to the co-working space.

Rockhill property management has implemented the following at 100 High Street:

  • Symptom monitoring and temperature checks upon arrival
  • Daily cleaning with EPA-approved cleaning agents and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Face-covering requirements in all common areas
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations
  • Nanoseptic films on building entry handles and elevator buttons
  • Review of and improvements to building HVAC

Babson College Miami

All students in the Babson Miami campus must adhere to Babson College campus safety protocols and health guidelines. More information on specifics for the Miami campus are below; international students, please visit the Information for International Students page for more details specific to travel and immigration.

Given the current surge in COVID-19 cases, the Florida Department of Education has allowed schools to continue to deliver classes fully online until September 30. Babson College will deliver all Miami face-to-face sessions slated for August and September remotely, as we did in the spring term. Our plans for the fall/winter months will continue to evolve with guidance from public health authorities and the Florida Department of Education.

Although sessions will be delivered remotely, our Miami campus is open with health guidelines in place. Students may join us on campus for the face-to-face sessions and use the classroom space—abiding by new health and safety guidance and protocols—to engage virtually with faculty. You also may attend sessions remotely, at a location of your choice.

For returning students (Class of 2021) at Babson College Miami:

  • First F2F weekend will be held September 3–6.
  • Second F2F weekend will be held September 24–27.
  • Block 6 F2F weekend rescheduled to Thursday, December 3, to Sunday, December 6.
  • The original start date August 29 and end date December 19, 2020, for this semester remains in place.

For incoming students (Class of 2022) at Babson College Miami:

  • First F2F weekend will be held August 26–30.
  • Second F2F weekend will be held September 17–20.
  • Block 2 F2F weekend will be held November 12–15.
  • The original start date August 19 and end date December 19, 2020, for this semester remains in place.

To ensure the health and safety of our community, and to manage capacity limits while maintaining appropriate physical distancing, only currently enrolled students with a valid Babson One Cards will have access to the Babson Miami campus until further notice. Babson Miami will not be able to accommodate visitors (including alumni, friends, and parents) during the fall semester.

Access to the Miami campus will be restricted to business hours only (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.). To maintain appropriate and safe physical distancing, capacity will be reduced with spaces clearly marked with signage for seating, standing, and walking areas.

In collaboration with 1200 Brickell Condominium Association, the Miami campus is instituting:

  • Symptom monitoring
  • Daily cleaning with EPA-approved cleaning agents and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Face-covering requirements in all common areas
  • Review of and improvements to building HVAC

Testing

Before Your First In Person Class

  • You must have two negative COVID test results prior to attending class in-person.
  • Second test should be within 3-5 days of initial test results.

Miami campus students may get tested at a place of their choosing. The Miami-Dade testing centers system is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; tests may be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance, and results are generally available within 2-5 days. Schedule an appointment in Miami-Dade.

Testing Frequency

Students planning to visit the Miami campus regularly must be tested on a weekly basis. If you are physically returning to campus, please email Gustavo Trindade confirming that you will be tested twice prior to your return date. 

Your test results must be sent to healthservices@babson.edu from your Babson email account. This email serves as an acknowledgment from your part that Babson Health Services professionals, and only them, can have access to your results. 

Symptom Monitoring and Reporting

All students (regardless of whether you are coming to campus) must report symptoms every day. If you are coming to campus, this must be completed before departing your off-campus residence. Students will receive a pass for on-campus participation or be asked to remain at home and provided with additional instructions. Students will receive a morning reminder to log symptoms and be expected to complete reporting, regardless of schedule, no later than noon. 

Contact Tracing

DPH recommends COVID-19 testing symptomatic students and close contacts of a known case. Miami Dade Board of Health and its contact tracers will be notified if staff, faculty or students test positive in the Miami campus.

 

There currently is an advisory for quarantine for people from the Tristate area of NY-NJ-CT, but we were informed that it does not apply to students.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Babson Boston campus will be available to individuals with a valid Babson OneCard and with an approved registration made in advance. Drop-in visits cannot be accommodated at this time.

No, students taking classes at the Boston campus will not need to register as a visitor before each class. However, temperature checks will be required upon building entry, as required by Rockhill Property Management. If a high temperature is recorded, students will not be allowed access to the building.

Although the opening of the High Street Place Food Hall <https://www.highstreetplace.com/> is still pending, there are a number of nearby options <https://www.downtownboston.org/openrestaurants/> to grab refreshments. There is also a mini-fridge, microwave, vending machine and water filling station available for use inside the café space on the 12th floor of Babson Boston.
