Generator Research Intern (3 positions)

AI & ML Empowerment

Role Overview

The mission of the Generator’s AI & ML Empowerment lab is to cultivate an intuitive, conceptual understanding of how various technical ML tools (methods, models, etc.) work under the hood. As a Research Intern for the AI & ML Empowerment lab, you will engage with early-stage research to tackle niche study questions and explore unique research areas, involving state-of-the-art AI and ML technologies. This research will include feasibility testing, proof of concept analysis, literature research, and other exploratory activities to improve our understanding of the capabilities and limitations of current AI and ML technologies. This is a dynamic opportunity for students passionate about AI, interested in cultivating conceptual understanding of how the technical tools shaping the current AI landscape work under the hood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility testing and proof of concept analysis to evaluate the potential and practicality of new research areas
  • Perform literature research to uncover the latest advancements in AI and ML and synthesize findings to inform ongoing projects.
  • Develop and implement experimental tests to explore the capabilities and limitations of various AI and ML methods and models.
  • Document and present findings, highlighting the key takeaways from the research.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with the Faculty Leader, other Generator interns, Babson students, and other stakeholders as needed.

  • Passion for AI: A deep interest in AI technologies and enthusiasm for helping others explore and learn about AI’s potential across disciplines.
