Program Cost Structure

Under our home school tuition model, all students studying abroad for an academic year, semester, or summer abroad are billed Babson tuition for the term they are abroad. All other nontuition costs (housing, meals, etc.) are paid by the student directly to the host program. Total cost of attendance varies by program.

Students may apply all financial aid, scholarships, and/or grants to their education abroad experience and should meet with their Financial Aid counselor to learn more. Note: Federal Work-Study cannot be applied during an education abroad program.

Please contact your Education Abroad advisor for program specific cost information.

Estimated budgets to guide your personal spending and overall cost of the program can be found on the program specific page. Use this estimated budget as a guide, but also utilize your knowledge of your spending habits to make appropriate adjustments to this number. The financial aid office will make awards (or adjustments) based on this budget.

The total cost of an Elective Abroad / Away course varies by location, cost of living, and length of program. You will pay for tuition credits plus a program fee that is specific to the course.

To find the estimated total cost of any short-term education abroad program, visit the "Finances" tab on the course brochure page. This tab features a helpful graphic estimating the total course cost as well as detailed financial information.
