Meet The POWs
Michelle Buslov '20
Michelle is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives in the Woman Giving Back tower in Van Winkle. Michelle chose Babson because she thinks business knowledge can be applied to all kinds of different fields that she is passionate about, especially wellness. Michelle is particularly interested in stress management and self-care, as well as bystander intervention. This year, along with being a POW, Michelle will be a sustainability intern, the VP of Finance for Habitat for Humanity and a research assistant in the Blank Center. In her spare time, she likes trying new restaurants, spending time with her family and friends, and online shopping. Michelle is looking forward to being a resource on campus for anyone who needs it and becoming more involved in the Babson community.
Emma Cavanagh '21
Emma Cavanagh is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Mandell Family Hall. Emma choose Babson because she was interested in its rigorous and unique entrepreneurship program. She also wanted to surround herself with energetic people who were highly passionate about business and were constantly seeking to better themselves. Specifically, Emma is interested in mental health and fitness.. In addition to serving as a POW, Emma is also on the Babson Cross Country and Track & Field Teams and works as a Data Specialist on campus. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and taking pictures on her travels. This year, Emma is looking forward to getting more involved in the Babson community!
Will Couglan '21
Will is a second-year Peer on Wellness. He lives on campus in Forest Hall. Will chose Babson because of his interest in social entrepreneurship. He is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Will is interested in nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, meditation, and assistance around recovery from addiction. In addition to serving as a POW, Will is also involved in the professional Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi and the Babson Outdoors Association on campus. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing tennis, producing and playing music, hiking, and going out with friends. This year, Will is looking forward to getting involved and making a positive change at Babson.
Kelsey Erstein '20
Kelsey is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Bryant Hall. Kelsey chose Babson because of its focus on empowering women leaders through their Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, stress management, mindfulness, meditation, and positive self-image. In addition to being a POW, she is also involved in Sigma Kappa. In her spare time, she likes to read, watch movies, and practice yoga.
Catherine Ferri '21
Catherine Ferri is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Canfield Hall. Catherine chose Babson because of its impressive curriculum, unique networking opportunities, and the ability to tailor one's educational pathway toward a future career. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Catherine is interested in nutrition and mental and physical health. In addition to serving as a POW, Catherine will also be an Executive Board member of the Babson Yoga Club and a Peer Career Ambassador on campus. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys staying active, cooking, and yoga. This year, Catherine is looking forward to providing healthier outlets for stressed students and serving as a resource to the Babson community!
Deedee Haith '21
Deedee is a second-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Park Manor Central. Deedee chose Babson because Babson is close to home for her and she wanted to be close to her family, while being at an inclusive and diverse college. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Deedee is interested in promoting and advocating for mental wellness. In addition to serving as a POW, Deedee is also involved in CAB and EmpowHER on the Babson campus. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and watching her favorite shows. This year, Deedee is looking forward to becoming part of the POW family and taking part in being a supportive resource for our Babson community.
Moise Harari '21
Moise is a first-year Peer on Wellness. He lives on campus in Van Winkle Hall. Moise chose Babson because of his passion for entrepreneurship. He is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, is interested in nutrition and preventive medicine. In addition to serving as a POW, Moise is also involved in VegClub, Sustainability club, Hillel, Intramurals soccer, and the Butler LaunchPad on campus. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing calisthenics, playing soccer, and trying new plant-based foods. This year, Moise is looking forward to meeting other students with similar interests!
Sean Harrington '20
This is Sean's first year as a POW. Sean chose Babson because he wanted to attend a small business school outside of Boston. Babson hit all of these marks while allowing him to stay close to home. Sean is passionate about health and wellness because he feels that everyone can benefit from learning about its different aspects. He have also seen the effects of practicing good health and wellness first hand. Sean is a member of the varsity Baseball team at Babson. In his spare time he likes to play sports, play video games, and hang out with friends.
Ally Kaden '21
Ally Kaden is a first year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Coleman Hall. Ally chose Babson because of the unique opportunities this school provides for the future and the amazing people that make up the Babson community. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Ally is interested in the topics of mental health and emotional wellbeing. In addition to serving as a POW, Ally is also involved in the Women’s Tennis Team, the CWEL Scholar program, and the Fresh Check Day Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, reading, and relaxing with friends. This year, Ally is looking forward to being a helpful resource to her peers on campus.
Nick Lorello '20Nick is in his first year as a POW. He lives in Coleman Hall with his best friend at Babson. He chose Babson because of his interest in business and going to a smaller school. The info session explaining FME was what sold the school for him. Nick is interested in health and wellness because he knows how important it is so live a healthy lifestyle in college and beyond. He also sees the need for sexual harassment awareness in a business setting. Nick plays on the club baseball team and works on a small business with his friend at Babson. In his free time, he likes to stay active and share laughs with friends.
Cayla Murphy '20
Cayla Murphy is a third-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in the Women Giving Back community in Van Winkle. Cayla chose Babson because of the outstanding level of business academics, its proximity to Boston and the community! She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Cayla is interested in exercise, nutrition, and mental/emotional wellbeing. In addition to serving as a POW, Cayla is also involved in the Sustainability Club, the Outdoors Association and Women Giving Back on campus. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, hiking, reading, and the outdoors! This year, Cayla is looking forward to being a resource for Babson students and educating the community on wellness topics!
Olivia Phelan '20
Olivia is a first year Peer on Wellness and a sophomore. Olivia is an RA in Putney Hall and is a member of the varsity Women’s Lacrosse team. Olivia chose Babson because she loved the intense and forward-thinking students and hands-on business curriculum. Olivia is passionate about wellness and living healthier mentally and physically. As a POW, Olivia looks forward to being a resource for others and helping to ensure that Babson is a safe, welcoming place for all. In her spare time, Olivia likes to be outside or to hang out with friends and her two sisters.
Jodee Sakamaki '20
Jodee is a first year Peer on Wellness from the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. She is interested in helping others with health and wellness, and is excited to be a safe resource to her peers. Jodee chose Babson to further her education because she was attracted to the unique learning opportunities Babson provides in order to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in all students. In her free time, Jodee enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, dancing, and watching Netflix. Along with serving as a POW, Jodee is involved in Chi Omega and is a part of the Panhellenic council. Jodee is looking forward to her sophomore year at Babson, and meeting new people.
Disha Sethi '20
Disha is a first year Peers on Wellness. She lives on campus in the Women Giving Back Tower in Van Winkle. Disha chose Babson because it provides with the opportunity to learn in an interactive and proactive manner. She feels that it is important that we consciously make an effort to focus on our health and those around us. She is particularly passionate about mental health and healthy eating. On campus, she is the Vice President for Finance for the Consulting club and works at the CLTP office. Disha likes reading, writing poetry, travelling, and photography.
Eva St. Cyr '20
Eva is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Coleman. Eva chose Babson because of the focus on business and the entrepreneurial mindset as well as the welcoming community. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Eva is interested in sexual health and mental/emotional well-being. In addition to serving as a POW, Eva is also involved as an Admission Fellow on campus. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with friends and family. This year, Eva is looking forward to pursuing courses in Marketing, attending Babson Athletics games, attending the BACCHUS General Assembly, and being a part of POW!
Maeve Sullivan '20
Maeve Sullivan is a third-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Pietz Hall and is studying Marketing and Retail Supply Chain Management. Maeve chose Babson because she wanted a small business school with strong academics where she could learn about social entrepreneurship in order to help others. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Maeve is interested in mental health, emotional health, stress management, and sleep habits. In addition to serving as a POW, Maeve is also involved in Babson Cross Country, Babson Track, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and the Alumni & Friends Network on campus. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, playing with her dog, trying new foods and travelling. This year, Maeve is looking forward to spending time with friends and becoming more involved with POW to help the campus community!
Julia Taormina '20
Julia is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in the Sigma Kappa tower with 14 of her friends. Julia was drawn to Babson for the hands-on classes, amazing professors, and all the opportunities through clubs, organizations, and peers. She is passionate about health and wellness and is excited to take on this position to learn more about how to be a resource to others during her time at Babson and beyond. Along with being a POW, Julia is a part of ONE, the Vice President of New Member Education for her sorority, a passionate Tour Guide, and takes part in intramural sports. As for her spare time, she enjoys hanging with family and friends, her dog, going to the beach, and traveling to new places. Julia looks forward to this new year of opportunities to grow, make friends in this new community, and overall learn how to be a resource for her campus.
Emily Woodward '20
Emily Woodward is a sophomore at Babson College. She grew up in Deerfield, MA with her sister, two parents, and dogs. Emily came to Babson because she loved the academics, community, opportunity, and volleyball. Now, she is happy to say she is here for POW as well! Emily loves spending her free time with friends and family, playing volleyball/the gym, hiking, and more. She is passionate about wellness because it is extremely important to take care of the body, mind, and soul in order to be happy. This year Emily is excited to serve as a POW on campus, challenge herself academically, be with friends, and win a volleyball championship!
