A First Look at the Herring Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Village

During special community hour events, students, staff, faculty, and friends enjoyed a sneak peek of the HELV, the first-of-its-kind living and learning community dedicated to entrepreneurial leadership. The visionary village incorporates innovative new spaces and opportunities to learn, explore, connect, and collaborate. The HELV also will house the largest residence hall on campus and be the new home of Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME).

Resourcing Enrollment

Completed Phase One development of the Herring Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Village on time and on budget, delivering three large classrooms, a new dining venue, and new collaboration spaces for students and faculty.

Revised policies and procedures to shift to a 65/35 split of tenured vs. non-tenured faculty, creating more flexibility in our business model.

Added 14 new student-facing positions to support current and future Undergraduate on-campus enrollment, including three new roles to support student wellness.

Launched Uwill, a leading teletherapy service that provides wraparound care via teletherapy, a 24/7/365 crisis line, and a library of on-demand educational resources for Babson students and serves as an extension of CAPS. Importantly, 25% of licensed clinicians within the Uwill Network are members of the BIPOC community.

Enhanced programming through Wellness & Prevention Services including an expansion of the “Be Well, Do Well” series.

Launched a new Social Innovation Scholars Fund which is available to all Babson students with priority for needs-based individuals.
